I know what I’m buying when I buy Levi’s. I just am a fan of Levi’s I have worn them all my adult life and the numeric code of their pants allows you to change the fit from snug shrink to fit which wear more comfortably as you move around in them. I’m an average size man and have worn the the same waist and length for a very long time with periods in my life where I went from 501 button fly to 505 zipper fly and on to the 550 & 560. Now with senior aging I’m back down to 505 and 1” smaller waist and 1” shorter inseam. I just know what I’m getting when I buy them: comfortable fit, good quality, good fit, good choice of color and style. You just can’t beat them!!! In my opinion they are the best out there!

I'm very particular when it comes to my jeans, i only wear Levis brand because they are the most comfortable there is. I also like that I can find the odd sizes with Levis that you can't find with other name brands. I was shocked when I compared the prices between the Levis web store and amazon. The amazon prices were lower by a pretty good amount. The jeans I bought were between $23.00 and $32.00. These same jeans were $50,00 for the least expensive on their site. I saved a bunch of money buying from Amazon. I got 5 pairs of Levis jeans for $150.00 total. You just can't ask for a better price for top quality jeans that fit perfectly like these do. Again because I wear an odd size 29" waist I didn't have to buy a 30" waist and tighten my belt up.

So quality is probably the same as the last pair I purchased years ago. Love those jeans. The 505's that arrived look the same, but are definitely a good bit darker then the last ones. Darker than the picture on the ad too. Not thrilled about that, but hopefully they will fade a bit quick. The bigger issue is the size. The size is right, and the same as my previous pair... but they don't fit as well. They are noticeably longer. So I'm crossing my fingers, hoping they shrink and fade to look like the previous pair I purchased. Left 4 stars because they have been great reliable jeans.

So I've been having issues with the sizing of Levi's lately. Specifically the inseam measurement. I'm 5'9" and have a 30 inch inseam but with almost every pair of Levi's that I've ordered over the past year the inseam has been wrong most of the time. I'll order a 30 and it'll be too short but a 32 is too long. I had two pairs of jeans where the 30's were correct. So when I ordered these I bought a pair of 30's and a pair of 29 inch inseam to try and cover my bases. Fortunately these 505's, which are red tag, were a perfect fit with the 30 inch inseam. I didn't even have to open the 29's and will be returning them. These look like traditional Levi's quality with a nice thick denim. Probably not as thick as a pair of 501's but still nice and thick. Seems like they'll be plenty durable.

As a 5'7" man, I have no idea what shorter guys buy for jeans. I imagine they must get them hemmed. I can get by okay with a 30" inseam, but finding that these are available in a 29" inseam is even better! Great fit, comfort, and price.
