I bought these for my husband for just kicking around in pants for cooler months. He is a rough and tumble kinda guy. Works on cars for fun, welds, fixes things around the house and does construction projects. He is in concrete and would NEVER wear these to work, but they fit the bill for his winter BMX riding, skating and tinkering. Like I said, we will see if they wear like older Levis. I will update if they fail, I promise! Size was as expected and historically accurate.

I've been wearing Levi"s for years now. 501 Buttonfly- the fit is perfect. They are comfortable, durable & go with just about everything. (For me anyway) They can keep up with your busy lifestyle. They're soft once broken in to fit your shape. It's even better after they're worn out a bit & faded. They can last for years. Levi's 501 buttonfly are the best out there for a great pair of jeans. Of course, their prices have gone up like everything else. Prime Days Sale (I think that's what it was called) brought the prices down to reasonable, so I snatched up a few pair of different colors. With deals like that, you can't let them slip by. I was not disappointed. Excellent brand. Would recommend & would buy again.

Levis 501 Jeans. I didn't realize that Levis made a jean with a button up fly(No Zipper!). One of the pictures should have shown the button up fly and it should have been more clearly stated in the product description. I would have preferred a zipper as I find the button up fly a little awkward. However, pants fit perfectly and the color was exactly as shown. Amazon had a great price on the pants. I plan on keeping them and I'll try to get used to the button up fly. Would have given 5 stars if pants had a zipper, but that was really my bad for not reading the product description more carefully.

The only reason I got this jeans is because it was on sale for $25. It was a good deal that is hard to pass. I've been using this jeans for a couple of weeks know and probably already washed it at least 5 times. But still it feels stiff on the legs. I remember the old 501's I had before, it feels comfortable even when brand new, but this new generation of Levi's feels like my legs are in a cast. It's rough and stiff. It is of good quality and I can tell this will last for several years, but it still doesn't feel the same like how they made it before. If you're looking for durable pants, this Levi's is a no brainer, but if you're looking for comfort, look somewhere else.

I've been wearing 501s for more than 30 years. It's a classic jean that fits neatly, looks great and wears well. One of my few regular purchases where I know I can count on the quality. Hard to write a review of Levi's 501s - they're such a standard thing for me, having always had at least one pair in my wardrobe for more than 30 years. Timeless, durable and well made. They have a slightly loose thigh fit compared to other styles, but this does make them comfortable, and they go with pretty much any occasion except a formal black-tie dinner. The industry standard in 'classic' jeans - if you haven't got a pair already you should probably get one.

When purchasing these pants please spend a few moments looking at the details of where they are manufactured if it says China stay away I am not knocking China but I’m saying I compared all of the pants and everyone that came out of that country horrible the coloring the stitching the fit the most important thing is the fit and they never are consistent they either that you tight that to lose their too long that you’re short and the size should not matter should be the size The size you put in example if it’s a 36 waist and 32 seem that means that’s what it should be it’s not it could be 37 it could be 34 it’s never consistent I remember the days when they were made right here in the US survey and these issues never had a problem so again look at the manufacturer use other countries turkey Indonesia Pakistan and I’m telling you you will not be disappointed I have Purchased different styles over the last six months and everyone that I carefully looked at the details of where it was manufactured I have never returned it I highly recommend
