  • Great screen and performance
Been using it for a couple days now and the laptop works well and as expected. Screen quality and colors are unbelievably good. Build quality is rock solid. Loving it so far.

  • ABSOLUTLY BROCKEN!!!!
When I got the laptop it was running windows LTSC rather than home which meant I had to buy my own windows key and thumb drive to do a clean install of windows, after that the WIFI didn't work, drivers were really messed up, wouldn't even detect that it dad a NVidia graphics card and instead used integrated graphics, wouldn't connect to a monitor, got no help from Lenovo support other than this isn't our problem. Over all great hardware but everything soft where is taking a lot of work to fix. ... show more

  • Two Years Later And Still Working Great!! ^_^
I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 to replace my aging Digital Storm laptop from 2014. This new machine is simply amazing in comparison. I'm completely satisfied with it and haven't a single complaint on it even after 2 years of ownership. I went with Lenovo as my chosen brand because my office uses Lenovo Thinkpads as their standard developer equipment, and my experience with those has been consistently good. I'm glad my personal laptop has been living up to and exceeding the quality experience I've had with my work equipment! :) ... show more

  • Really Nice Gaming Laptop
So I have the 3070 32gb ram legion 5 pro. The 16" 500nit qhd screen is amazing. By far the best screen I've ever had. The keyboard doesn't bother me at all, I haven't had any issues. The track pad is easy to use, and the build quality is solid. My only complaint is the design. The y on the back is kinda cheesy, I wish it looked like the legion 7. Other than the design, I love everything else. It destroys everything I throw at it and I haven't had any issues yet. This was a huge upgrade over my Asus Rog. ... show more

  • Awesome But....the track pad
The screen is awesome. The laptop screen is amazing although it goes from bright to darker rather abruptly. Its super responsive. I love love love all the ports. But... The battery life is almost nothing and then theres the trackpad which is horrible. Its not functional. There are tons of dead spots on it plus it ghost registers 1 sometimes 2 finger inputs. I love this laptop but theres no permanent fix for the trackpad which makes the laptop underperform. Sadly im returning it this week. ... show more

  • Charging cable stopped working due to faulty connection
I can only charge the laptop if I can get the charger at the right angle. The port is messed up and it’s outside of warranty. Bought multiple new chargers to try and no luck.

  • Great screen, great build quality, but not perfect
Lenovo seems to be improving its Legion line of gaming laptops every year and the Legion 5 Pro is no exception. The build quality of this laptop is GREAT. Very solid, very well put together machine with most ports (including power and RJ45) in the back to better manage cable clutter. The screen is GORGEOUS, best I've seen outside of the latest M1 Macbooks with their mini-LED screens. The keyboard is good but not best-in-class. The keyboard backlighting is very nice. Performance is also excellent. Speakers are very good (though I've heard better in other laptops). Nice clean aesthetics. Negatives: Trackpad is sub-par. Feels like they cheaped out on it for sure. I prefer a trackpoint (a la Thinkpad) anyway so will use a mouse with this laptop. Numeric keypad is totally unnecessary and reduces the ergonomics of the keyboard. A bit too heavy with a big power brick as well. This is definitely a desktop replacement. Not for daily on the go use for most people. Overall, a great gaming laptop. But LENOVO IF YOU READ THIS, (1) GET RID OF THE NUMERIC KEYPAD, (2) SHAVE HALF A POUND OR SO OFF THE WEIGHT, AND (3) PUT A GLASS TOUCHPAD ON THIS. THEN THIS LAPTOP WILL BE NUMERO UNO FOR SURE. ... show more

  • Nice but the keyboard will drive you crazy
Laptop is decent. Windows 10 Home is annoying, but that is easy to change to Pro. Pros: - Screen is 500 nits so nice and bright, you can see it outside. !6" size is okay. - About the size of a 15" laptop, so fits in backpacks, etc. - Build quality seems sturdy - Ryzen chip is great Cons: - The keyboard is the worst because it is shoved over to the left side. You will have a lot of trouble typing on this as your hands are crammed to the side. As well the keys are very close together, not like a normal laptop keyboard. I continually hit num lock when trying to backspace, etc. - Track pad has the same problem, way off to the left so instead of left click I hit right click most of the time. You have to leave your left hand half off the side of the case if you want to type correctly or have it out of the way of the track pad. - There should be an option if have no number pad, it's pretty much useless. My personal opinion would be no number pad and a proper sized and located typing/track pad surface. ... show more
