I use this exclusively as a travel ring so I don't have to worry about losing my actual engagement ring and wedding band. My real engagement ring is size 5 with a 2ct oval, so it makes this ring (size 6, 3.5ct oval) look enormous, actually too big for my preference, but it's fine for my "backup" ring. It looks more white than my diamond in comparison, but it's not noticeably fake upon initial inspection. I like that the stone sits close to my finger, so it doesn't allow a wedding band to be flush with it, but it doesn't get caught on things like my regular ring sometimes does since the diamond sits higher on my finger. So I bought this ring as a replacement until my custom wedding ring arrives. This ring isn’t meant to look like a showstopper real diamond. However, people don’t notice that it’s fake because I get compliments on this ring. The band I have on the top I also purchased on Amazon, and my band on the bottom is real gold and diamonds. I’m the only one that can notice the difference, when it’s in the light more, my real band shines more than the other one. I’m pleased at how cute it is for the price! Alone I feel it could be more costume-y, but with these / bands, it looks like a great set. Overall I give it 4 stars because I wish the gem was more sparkly. ... show more

Title says it all. I wore this while waiting for my custom engagement ring to be made and I loved that this ring lower, didn't catch on anything, and had a unique setting. Unfortunately, the gold plating faded quickly - within about two weeks. I have a typical office job and may have forgotten to remove the ring when washing my hand a couple times, so that's definitely on me -- but I was hoping it would stand up longer than just two weeks. It looked great while it lasted. The gold color wasn't brash or too yellow like you sometimes see at a lower price point. I'm bummed this didn't last very long (and that I wasn't more careful with it myself). I'd suggest taking the ring off when doing anything with your hands if you want better results. ... show more
