I am 5’7 132 lbs waist 28.5, bust 36 D hips 36 inches. I ordered a medium based off of other reviews from girls with similar build as mine. The Medium was a little too big, and I could have gone with a small. I liked the Medium. It wasn’t too short. I ordered a white petticoat and some white thigh highs based off reviews. The socks that came with it were super cute and fit! I have other similar costumes that were not constructed as well as this one is. I didn’t wear a bra with it because the fabric was thick enough it didn’t show my nips 😂🙊 I love this costume and will definitely keep it for Oktoberfest celebrations in the future. There were girls who spent more $$ on their costumes, but there is no way anyone would guess that this was the cheapest one out of all of them. For the price the quality is outstanding. Love this costume! I followed other reviewers tips and ordered one size larger than I normally wear. I usually wear a medium, but I ordered a large (I'm 5'9", wear size 10 jeans, size 8 dress). The fit was great, just a little small in the part that covers my stomach, but the material was stretchy enough that it wasn't uncomfortable. The skirt is pretty short, so you definitely need to wear something underneath. This doesn't come with the petticoat and I opted to do without and it still looked great. I love the knee socks that come with it! This is hands down the best quality costume I've seen for the price paid. I looked at Halloween stores in my area that were charging $50-$60 for German style costumes that were horrible cheap quality and were only for the dress portion of the costume. I can tell this costume is so well made that it will last me for many Oktoberfest parties to come! ... show more

I was super excited to get this, as I haven't bought a costume (instead of making my own) since 2007. It is super cute and I actually really enjoy wearing it, even though I normally really don't like dresses (I was Capt Jack Sparrow in '07). It is really comfy and I love the added strap at the neck to make sure the girls don't make a surprise appearance! I must say, though, if it wasn't for Amazon really living up to their 1 and 2 day delivery claim, I certainly wouldn't have it for my party tonight. The costume is really small in sizing. I am 4'11 and about 120lbs. I originally got a small, but there was NO WAY I was going to get it on. I panicked and immediately requested an exchange for a medium. Amazon is SO amazing when it comes to their exchanges. I went ahead and paid extra for their next day delivery because, although they said it would arrive the same speed as the first, I got free 2 day shipping and it showed the next day. However, my second dress wasn't projected to get here until this Monday and I ordered my second one on Tuesday of this week. Didn't want to take the risk. So, once my medium dress arrived, I was incredibly nervous about the sizing issue and knew I didn't have much time to order a third. My heart sank as I put it on because I realized it wasn't going to zip past my ribs/around the boob area (36D). My boyfriend decided he wasn't going to take no for an answer and we realized that if you actually pull the skirt up (super unattractive and uncomfortable haha) and zip it that way, you'll be able to get it zipped! And once we pulled the skirt back to its rightful place, I realized that the dress fit like a glove!! I fell in love with it immediately and wore it for the next half hour because I was so excited. And the stockings are a super cute touch! I can't bend over to touch my toes or else my butt will show, but you do have a lot of freedom with it. If I have to touch the ground, I just squat down and don't have to worry about exposure. The top of it is pretty sheer, so a white strapless bra is your best bet. It also covers well, but does draw the eye towards them. Just be a little wary about the sizing and don't be afraid to try some different things to make it fit. If I went up another size, I'd have too much cloth at the top. But as long as I wiggle it around, I can get it zipped and it fits well. I was looking for a beer maid costume and settled on this one for the great price (under $40 with expedited shipping because I waited until the last minute to buy a costume). Considering how much a paid, the quality of the costume is quite good and has a lot more detail than I expected what with the apron, the pink lace front, and the adorable stockings. I am 5'8 and 160 lbs and got the XL and it fits perfectly (not too tight). I wear a size 29 pants but I'm quite busty so when I buy dresses I often have to size up so that they will zip. I was concerned about this costume considering what people said about the costume running small but the XL was perfect. The costume is adorable and sexy (according to my boyfriend) but not too racy. The skirt is not too short and there is enough coverage in the bust to not be trashy. The stockings really make the outfit. In terms of whether or not you need a petticoat, I would say it's optional. This brand has generally done well for me, so I look for AvidLove specifically. I'm 5'1, with a short torso and average hips, so it can be hard to find things that look good. The skirt is about 2 inches shorter than some other similar dresses, which is fine if you're short. I wore it in public and didn't worry about flashing anyone. The fabric around the torso is stretchy, which is very helpful if you don't look like the model in the photos. The stockings are too long for my short legs, but otherwise they fit.
