I am happy with this costume. I like that it has a zipper. I was most hesitant when trying to figure out what size to order. I am no tailor, but I will include some measurements to help the next person decide on the best size. Also the tag specifies to hand wash cold. Only non-chlorine bleach when needed, Line dry, Do not iron. I haven't washed it yet. I'll start by saying that my daughter is 4 years old and about 41 inches tall. I measured her chest at 22 inches and she weighs about 41 pounds. She typically wears a size 5 in little girls clothing. According to the size chart it would have recommended I buy the S/P size for ages 4 to 6. I decided to go up a size and by the medium recommended for ages 7 to 10, and I'm glad I did. The next size down probably would have fit fine, but I'm happy with the extra room at this size. The medium (7-10) costume measurements I took are (approximately)... The arm and chest length when my daughter held her arms out while wearing it is about 37 inches all the way from from cuff to cuff. The zipper is 21inches long. The seam from the armpit to the cuff is 12 inches. I am trying to add photos, but can't seem to right now. ... show more

I was so pleased with this costume for my almost 5 year old son! My son decided he wanted to be a "spooky bat" for Halloween and when browsing for a costume to buy, I didn't look at this at first because I was turned off by the stockings/overall styling of the photo. It's really just a nice big fleece hoodie! So easy to put on and you can easily layer if you need to for a very cold Halloween. My son loved it and he got tons of compliments from his friends at school and his friends' parents loved it too. My son is very tall for his age and I struggled with what size to get but thanks to some other reviews I selected a size medium. It was a great fit! Big enough for layering and for him to be able to wear for a while but it didn't look too large on him either. For other clothing he normally wears 5T or boys size 6 for tops. I hope Amazon adds some additional photos of the hoodie by itself and on other kids (both boys and girls!) so it isn't so misleading as it is now with the current photo. ... show more

My son is almost 5 years old and he loves bats. I know this costume seems very feminine but it really is only the top part that you get, which is very cute, warm and best of all not sexy. I wouldn't dress my son OR daughter the way this little girl is dressed. If you omit the make up, fish net stockings and colored hair piece this is an adorable costume for any gender. My son will wear this with black pants and shoes. Anyway, the costume is well made and cozy. It fits tight around the arms so you'll want to use a tight fitting undershirt. I got a size medium because I wanted to be able to reuse the costume for as many seasons as possible. My son is almost 5 and of average height (by American standards) and this costume fits perfectly. I was hoping it would be too big. It is a bit long which is to be expected because I ordered a medium but the arms are just right and next year the arms will be short and the torso will be just right I'm guessing. This product is well made and the shape looks great. The part of wings are double layered but the hood, body and sleeves are single. My 6 year old daughter is 44" tall and fits in 6T but depending on brand she wears also 5T or 7T. I read some reviews said this costume runs small, so I purchased large size. It was big for her a little as I expected. The sleeves covered her palms but fingers stick out. She loves it because she loves long sleeves.
