The jeans fit true to size and the front pockets are just for looks but you can use the back pockets. Nice quality didnt shrink when washed and I would definitely purchase them again. I wanted to add that I typically get a tall in skinny leg jeans but these were long enough and could be tucked in boots or worn with other shoes and the length is perfect at least they were on me. These are the only pair of jeans I own and wear. I have a somewhat hour glass shape from the front but also a big tummy when I’m sitting down. These don’t require constant adjusting (they don’t really fall down), they’re very flexible and have a great amount of stretch, almost like true jean thickness but as jeggings. Although I’m slightly annoyed that they have a tiny bit of slack around the ankle. I cuff them since that looks weird on me (big calves so looks better truly skinny style). I don’t lounge around in them because right and thick clothing makes me want to crawl out of my skin, but I’m happy with how these feel when I’m out in public. The waistband also does leave some red marks after, but if I go up a size then they’ll be too lose around the legs. I got my true current pants size, although I’m losing weight and these still feel decently tight so I think the sizing is pretty flexible. Color has held up well over many washes, still pretty dark Jean color. Great value, durable, and timeless (if you think skinny jeans are timeless, which I do). The material seems sturdy and made of high quality materials. Not overly stretchy, just enough give to put on and retain skinny profile.i like the dark wash color and the thickness is good for all seasons.

ETA: I have washed the jeans and wore them all day, and they did not shrink at all, and actually loosened a bit while wearing. Normally this would be a good thing, but these pants were already a tad loose. I will be returning and getting a 4. I’ve been having a hard time finding jeans that fit since having my children, plus I’m 5’3” and everything’s too long. These jeans fit good and are so comfortable, I bought a size 6 short based on reviews (I’m usually between a 6 and 8). Surprisingly the waist could be a tad tighter, I might have been able to do a 4, but don’t want to push it. The pants themselves are good. But Amazon needs to store them better. They have an odor that I've tried to wash out 5 times so far that won't come out.
