I need the stretch waist and the legs are a good fit but they stretch out pretty big after a short wear. I really like the weight of these for a warmer feel. They also accommodate my lightweight long underwear. I bought a second pair in a different color that went on sale right after I bought the first pair. I'll be buying these in the future. One thing I've learned from traveling in the tropics is that there are times when one must blend in with the locals and wear pants. No, I'm not talking about formal settings but every day settings where a little improvement in appearance can go a long way in respect. Anyhow, back to the pants. I took two pairs of these pants to the Philippines and both were comfortable despite the heat and humidity. The only time I was bothered was when I tucked in a non-breathable shirt. For best comfort, choose your shirts wisely. I paired these jeans with cotton and linen shirts. I spent all day walking and wished I had discovered these years ago because for the first time I was unbothered after the day's activities. No more excessive sweating or fabric-induced heat stroke.
