Main light housing is aluminum but the end caps and mounts are plastic that is quite soft so be careful when mounting. No instructions included but with just two wires there is not much to say. The wires are very thin gauge so be careful if you need to cut and strip for any reason. Paint/coating is not very durable but should be fine once mounted. I am using it to light a sign approximately 13" x 8" and it lights the whole sign fully with some "spill" to the ground. It has weathered one rain storm and still works but no idea yet on the long term weather resistance. ... show more

For its size, this LED light bar throws a great deal of light. The fixture also swivels, which for me is a huge bonus. The only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars is the fact the wire used is so small in diameter, I had a difficult time crimping and heat shrinking it to the existing power source. With some mounting modifications a thousand uses around automotive and marine applications. Trouble light, camping light, truck canopy light, cabin light and work light when afield or at sea. And being LED it won't drain your battery after several hours of use. Weather resistant, yup. Drop resistant, maybe once or twice from no more than two feet. The caps do not fit on the fixture as they should and fall off. The light output is minimal....more like a night light.

Works great. Put on the top of my trailer to shine down on the ramp and works perfect for what I needed. Easy installation but but ends pop off easy, I used some silicone and filled the gaps.
