This is a really cool sign. I originally intended to put it on my golf card to advertise things going on in the campground I work for. That didn't work out because I would need to figure out too much electrical. But it is a very cool sign all the same! I can't speak to the duration of quality but it is good quality from the beginning. It is very lightweight and easy to handle. It isn't terribly bright so it hurts your eyes, but definitely bright enough to be seen. The app is useful for programming. I didn't have a hard time figuring out the programming. It was fairly intuitive. It comes with pre-attached rings for mounting that are nicely VERY adjustable (side to side) and quite secure. Does not come with chains or anything to hang it on, but the rings are a nice plus! All in all, it didn't work out for what I wanted, but is an excellent choice for a storefront or whatever you need! ... show more

    • Sign Is Amazing - The required app to control it is a different story
The sign I received was advertised as 40x8" but it was actually 39x8". It did not bother me, but for those who are looking for a precise size, be aware of the variance. The sign is very lightweight, making it easy to hang or adhere to almost any surface. The LEDs are VERY bright and after several months of use, the sign looks just as good as it did on day one. The only problem I had with this is that in order to use it, I had to download an app called FkShow. The program was originally made in Chinese and they tried to translate some of the guides in the app so that with a lot of patience, time, and guesswork, I was able to make a number of cool special effects with text. Although the display came with printed directions, they did not work for me. I figured out on my own that in order to connect the sign to my iphone, I had to select the display as my wifi connection on my iphone. The display has a fixed name and password hardcoded, which is a huge security flaw. Any passerby can simply connect to the display with their phone and change my messages. If you can read Chinese, the program should be pretty easy to use. If you do not, just be willing to spend a few hours playing around with it.     • Big and bright, but the App is Clunky
To be frank I am probably not the intended customer for this large LED sign; I plan to use it as a holiday light on my balcony. Thankfully, it's very customizable, so as long as you have the space for it I think you can set this up to do whatever you need of it. The size is as advertised, quite large. It's surprisingly light for it's size, as the construction appears to be primarily plastic with aluminum extruded rails for the frame. The power cord is non-detachable and terminates in a standard 120v AC plug, with no ground pin. I estimate the cord is about 6ft/2m in length, though I haven't measured it. Regarding the programming of the sign, it's handled either by an app on your phone or with some PC hardware, all of it done wirelessly through a Wi-fi connection. I can't speak for the desktop app as I currently don't have a computer to try it on, but I did download the app for an Android device. First off, it is not conventionally available through the app store, so that is somewhat concerning from a security standpoint. Additionally, it is not very intuitive and it is difficult to set up multiple programs. The software does allow a lot of customization for what's displayed on the sign, but there is definitely a learning curve to use it. All in all, if digital signage is something you need for your business, this is a very affordable option that allows for a lot of customization, but expect to spend a couple hours to program it. I'm also still not particularly trusting of the software they use; the method for downloading it seems a bit shady. ... show more

This might be the first advertising thing that I've actually had fun with. Like, smiles, and real fun, just finding the features. But first a little business... The first thing you should know about this sign is that it is incredibly well packaged with very tough bubble wrap. Okay, I know that's nothing you'll really find amazing or why you're reading this review, but it speaks to a quality product by a company that cares how the product gets to you. Okay, trust me... now the review gets off that mundane stuff and right into stuff you really want to know. For the only ding on this product, I have to give that the sign is actually 39 inches, as seen on my pics. Probably not a big deal for most folks or a deal-breaker, but it is what it is. One caveat is that the QR code for the app takes you to a Chinese website, and I don't download from sources I don't trust. Go to the Android store and get it there. I don't have an Apple, so I can't vouch for that one, but if Google does it, usually Apple does as well. The process is very easy to set up with a temporary code to connect it through your WIFI. Here's where the fun begins. The app is very intuitive and has a LOT of options for color, speed, brightness, direction, flash, smooth, etc. I think there's a way you can also do emojis, but I haven't figure that one out yet. This thing is REALLY bright, though as previously indicated, you can turn it down. If you're running a business and have a bright front window to put this in and are concerned that it's going to be visible, not to worry. Obviously, the more contrast you can provide, the better, but it will survive pretty bright sun. And most people will turn it down substantially to avoid blinding people. With the app, you can change messages from anywhere and you can also schedule a message change. I have het to experiment to see what the max is, but as you can see from the video, it's substantial. Okay, now for a little more boring but necessary stuff. It runs off 110V power and there is a dongle USB that has setup directions on it. I didn't need it. There are a couple of sliding brackets in the top for hanging. You'll need to provide the chain or picture wire, but with that, you're good to go. I ran the thing for roughly an hour and there wasn't any substantial heat. A few degrees warmer than room temperature on the top side, but less than I expected from this many LEDs and the electronics inside. That would suggest it's pretty efficient and cheap to run. ... show more

A programmable LED sign is the kind of thing I absolutely understand wanting, because if I can put scrolling messages somewhere, I probably will. Useful? Maybe. Funny? Absolutely. The WiFi and USB programming options are what make it more interesting than a basic sign. Full-color display means it can be used for actual announcements, business messages, or just whatever chaotic thing you decide needs to glow across a room. This is probably overkill if you only need one static sign. But if you want a bright programmable display for changing messages, this is the fun kind of extra. ... show more

This thing is cool! I like how many different things you can program with it, I like that you can have it plugged into a computer or even use Bluetooth and an app. I like that it's full color and can do many images just don't expect high resolutions since you can actually see the pixels. I like that it's outdoor rated so you can actually use this thing outside of your business to try and attract attention. I got this because I have a whole neon display all over the whole bunch of LED neon science and I thought this would just go perfect with it just for fun. I would say this is an exceptional value for the money because of what you get, you can't get anything like this for this price point. ... show more

    • Vivid scrolling banner great for lives
When I saw this I was instantly thinking of using it in lives to scroll messages to welcome everyone into the live. I had a lot of fun getting this set up and working... really good amount of options for this sign. The board itself looks super clean and professional... and the size it big enough to stand out without feeling ridiculous on a live stream. The brightness is no issue here because it it very good day and night. So the message really pops! Once connected it's easy to change the message, colors, speed, and motion effects. I like being able to update over wifi and not dealing with cables. There is a lot to customize. The sign feels well polished and made in a well built frame. Very sturdy for regular use. I think the hardware feels better than the software even... but would still highly recommend this sign to others as it's been working great. ... show more
