These are really terrific platters/bowls. There are literally dozens and dozens of foods — from salads to rices and pastas, to appetizers and fruits — that I would serve in these platters. And I can cook in these platters. I can make mac & cheese, roast potatoes, roast cauliflower, roast brussel sprouts, and many more dishes. The only question I have is why I never thought to get them before. Most platters are shallow. These have enough depth to accommodate more food, and foods with sauces and gravies. We have a small family, but I cook for our extended family on Sundays. Where have these platters been all my past Sundays? They’ll be on my dinner table for sure from now on. We love these bowls. We host a lot of large dinners. Right out of the box we saw them as both attractive and easy to store. Time will tell on quality, but they seem to be as expected. We like + the design on the outside and edge; gives a nice look and makes them easy to grip; not overdone. + the smooth and plain inside (no print); best for serving food + the low profile (great for serving pieces on dinner table) + the sizes; they store inside each other, and they’re nice and large. I am very much liking these. They are a very good size for serving foods and the design on the sides is very pretty - not fancy, just pretty. I like the shallow design on these, makes them ideal for larger food items (say, fried chicken pieces) rather than more liquid ones like pasta. These are some of my favorite serving bowls. They are almost platters. The two sizes are gear options. They are vintage looking and made so well. The pattern is a pretty one. I would recommend and purchase again.
