For me, I had given up golf (gave all my golf equipment to one of my kids) but this is a really nice partial set that will give me a chance to see if my irritating shank has gone away without having to pay a lot for golf equipment. And this is not a chintzy set of clubs. They look and feel really nice. They perform nicely with the shafts seeming to be on the firm side. After watching a couple videos and trying out the clubs, I believe my shank problem will be a thing of the past. This partial set of clubs helps me to try to get back in the game without paying a huge price for a full set. If my game seems to improve, I probably will move to a full set and this set will be nice to give to one of my grandkids. I've never used a putter like this one but it really helps keep the ball lined up. The only negative was with the Driver cover. It fits really tight which makes putting it on and off a bit of a struggle. ... show more

I am absolutely impressed by these clubs. I have a nice set of Cleveland's but for some reason am now missing a few clubs. So, when I saw this LAZRUS, I figured why not? In fact, these clubs actually remind me of my Cleveland's. The build, the feel, and the look are quite similar, where they differ the most is in the price. In the set, you receive a driver, putter, 4 iron, 6 iron, 8 iron, pitching wedge, and a sand wedge (56 wedge). Both the driver and putter come with really nice covers. They feel great in the hand, swing well, and strike the ball as well as my Cleveland's. The driver has a great ring to it when the ball is hit correctly. The pitching wedge (56) is a winner and an excellent replacement for my missing Cleveland. Overall, if you're looking for a great beginner or budget set, this LAZRUS set is definitely an amazing pick up for the price! ... show more

I was looking for the perfect set of clubs for my teenage son who loves to golf. I didn't want to break the bank on a set but didn't want to stick him with a "cheap" set of clubs either. As with any switch in clubs, adapting to these new clubs will take a little time. That will be true primarily with the driver. The head size on the Lazrus driver is huge. I thought my previous driver was large. It looks like a fairway wood compared to the Lazrus driver. After 15 or so drives, I began getting a feel for how this monster swings. No need to overswing with this driver. With a charitable sweet spot, the club sends the ball down range without the need to grunt. All the irons swung well and felt nicely balance through the swing. The one club that I immediately connected with was the 56-degree wedge. I love this club. Smooth through the swing, my chip shots were all spot on in distance. I may never use my pitching wedge again. Very happy with the Lazrus club set. Looking forward to spring golf. ... show more

Our youngest son just went out for the school golf team, knowing nothing and having no prior experience. These are nice clubs for a beginner, at a good price point. You will definitely need a bag to carry them in, so take that into account.

My husband and I are avid golfers. We got this set for our guests to use. We have friends come to visit, and this beats a rental set. These clubs are beautiful to look at, and have nice grips that feel great in the hand. We most loved the putter. We both have expensive putters, and when we gave this putter a try, we both putted better than with our own clubs! The little magnet clasped cover for the putter makes it seem even more desirable.
