  • It’s reasonable quiet and so far it works.
Pattern Name: Heater
Do not follow the directions on the manual about the Remote Control. Do not remove screws on battery cover as directed by the manual. Lightly pry with tiny screwdriver at the top of the cover outline. It does open. See pictures.

  • nice style and features
Pattern Name: Heater
I now have [five[ of these! I chose this model simple because of the aesthetics. Was quite surprised by the quality and features. Unlike other heaters, this one does not shut off due to overheating. It is likely due to it not putting out quite as much heat as those cheaper units you typically find at Walmart, etc. There's nothing worse than waiting for a heater to cool down long enough to press the reset button and have heat again for a short period of time. For my needs, the design is a nice trade off. There is no heat coming out the back, sides, or top, making it ideal for locating under a desk without fear of catching something on fire. Plus, the remote control feature is awesome. ... show more

  • BAD REVIEWS are WRONG this time! HEAT HEAT BLESSED HEAT.
Pattern Name: Heater
UpDATE FROM WINTER 2016 It has now disappointed so 2 Stars Off. Its 10°F outside, no bldg heat inside. Can't feel the heater at 30" from its face. Thermostat is a complete joke. Doesn't measure room temp accurately. Off by more than 10 degrees, so won't turn off or on anywhere near where you set it. If the room temp rises 9 degrees, heater detects one to 2 degrees only (yes room temp did increase when it was 50-60 outdoors). Now I cannot recommend this unit for seriously cold climates. Darned! _________________________________ Thankgoodness. I froze winter 14-15! Either reviewers are biased against Lasko for some strange reason or Lasko listened and has drastically improved this device. Paying attention to the reviews I avoided this model like I avoided the lousy bladeless Dyson high priced heater. But I sooo need SILENCE AND DARKness in my bedrooms and heat. I went with this useless thing first... the Micathermic from NewAir. You'd burn yourself if you passed by it and it died in 10 days. Completely. Next I went for this hunk piece of heavy junk... Best Choice Products® 1500w LCD Glass Panel Heater Silent Energy Saving Compact Wall Mount Heater Bk. Ahhh the quiet is wonderful. Buttons have no light and the main control panel dims to dark on its own. It also only produces enough heat ONLY for the INCH around it. That's no typo. Inch not Foot. If your room is already a spring like 65 degrees its good enough otherwise forget it. Remote died in fewer than five pushes. I purchased the Vornado iControl Whole Room Vortex Heater, Automatic Climate Control. Cute Petite Does give off nice heat on HIGH. Display uses an invisible font worse than mac's Yosemite's thin horror and its so low to the floor you better be good at Yoga if you want to see what it says. Low is Cold air. Worst thing about it is like the Best Choice, the thermostats are jokes. Just when the room is warm enough this thing blows cold air then no air. The Best Choice switches to LOW when it thinks its inch of surrounding air is warm, which is basically no heat. Yes at least its not COLD air. I decided might as well go back to just plain fan forced loudness so I purchased the Hunter cute oscillating heater in RED model HPH15-E. It heats fine but it sounds like a tractor and has an annoying bright bunch of red lights that can't be covered as that blocks the co located infra red remote receiver. Pretty Red had to go back. So I came back to the Air Logic AW300 because it promises to be QUIET. The beautiful tough box scared me because right off in HUGE letters it says..... W A R M HEATER. Did that mean NOT hot? I held my breath and I backed away 52" and hit the remote (battery already installed by someone who had this before me) and WHOOSH, I FELT AIR AND HEARD IT PURRRR. Right off I knew it would at least move air. So no its not as quiet as I would prefer but its no weed whacker either. I'd say its like a hair dryer on medium. Heat on LOW is modest. Heat on HIGH is Hot. I definitely wouldn't want this blowing right on me as one reviewer stated, "you have to sit next to it". Noooo you don't. First its rotation squeaked but the squawk stopped within two minutes and has not returned. It does have a RED ON LIGHT but I've covered that already with a black fake carbon laptop sticker leftover from covering my Macbook. The REMOTE has a lovely rich ceramic glass feel. Its ivory in color. The sides of the heater are smooth ivory ceramic glassy plastic. Its prettier than all the grey pics of it. The entire upper center cavity can be used as a handle so its easy to carry. Its has heft but its not as heavy as the glass panel heaters. The Manual ahhhh The Manual. Thank you Lasko for the real English and a manual the size of a kid's large coloring book. The back cover is even for fun. I won't spoil it for you. The unit doesn't need this much explaining but its so gracious of Lasko to give it a real booklet instead of a pencil drawing gum wrapper fold out crappy mess. Only error is, "remove the screwed on battery cover then insert the batteries". There is no screwed on battery cover unless the previous owner took care of that step for me. What sense would a screwed on battery cover make? I've taken it one star down because it needs a MEDIUM setting and it ain't whisper quiet. Otherwise I truly don't know what's with the low ratings. Unless it dies soon my rating will remain high and I will purchase another. My bedroom is 8ftx11ft. I took a temperature reading right on the grills. The highest reading I received was 189F. The back and top remain cool completely. The sides rose to 120F but still cool enough that this heater is easily placed in a small room. I let it blow on a variety of fabrics inches from the front grill, none even became warm to the touch, so no fire worries. Some have mentioned the remote's sub surface buttons take quite the push. They do but its worth it, the remote can operate the unit even from its BACK. That's a strong remote signal. Bionaire used to be my go to heater brand. This is my 5th Lasko. I think they are taking the lead. Three currently working, 2 dead, all over the last decade. PS Odd thing is Lasko goes out of their way to make sure that brand name shows nowhere. I thought I had been the victim of a bait and switch at first. Lasko why are you hiding here? ... show more

  • When it is cold turn up the heat
Pattern Name: Heater
It is a Lasso heater which is quality. This heater was purchased for a tenant in the winter who did not think the building's boiler heated their unit as well as they liked. Tenant liked the gift of this heater. Heater heated their space. Tenant is happy. Appreciated the quick delivery.

  • Don't buy!
Pattern Name: Heater
This heater did its job as far as heating up the room and was easy to use. But the horrible burnt plastic smell was overpowering! I thought it would go away after use but it seemed to get worse. I'm sorry that I didn't read the reviews about this heater. Many reviews about the smell.

  • Great concentrated heat source
Pattern Name: Heater
The wife is always cold it seems.. so we got her this space heater. Because it is not trying to heat an entire room it keeps her from freezing without making me sweat. The remote control is a pit finicky. It must be pointed precicely at the IR sensor (inferred) to get it to respond to input.

  • Very noisy and smells
Pattern Name: Heater
I do not recommend this only because it is very noisy almost roars! Also it has a smell, not sure if it is healthy to breath since I use it in my bedroom with door closed. The tower is very stable. It has no exposed heating elements.

  • Would recommend this Lasko Bladeless Heater...but
Pattern Name: Heater
Be sure to clean the filter & any other maintenance required. I was lax in doing this & it shorted out. Luckily I quit using it in my mom's bedroom after I started smelling burnt plastic. After seeing that it's the cause, I'm giving it to our scrap guy. I may buy another but I'm going to research further. It was bought in January 2020 so we did get good use out of it. ... show more
