I wasn't aware that crates are a decorating trend but I think they work. I don't have the perfect place for them yet but wanted to discuss them briefly while they are fresh in my mind. The wood is very light and weighs almost nothing, not like a normal crate so they are easy to place and stack. The wood looks burned in a way, I don't know if its by hand or through a process but it is very convincing and attractive. They smell toasty so I feel flames are involved and not just paint. All the connection points are well attached with what looks like tiny brad nails and likely some glue. No different than what I would build in the garage. These are cool little crates and you can go to town decorating with them. They are very high quality and packaged well so they should look excellent when you unbox them. ... show more

These crates are lightweight and can stack within eachother for easy storage. They can be used as part of Fall decor, the farm theme in your kitchen, mail organization, or whatever you fancy. They have a very strong pine smell and I hope it doesn't fade because it's very nice to experience that whenever you walk by. But there is a downside. They definitely need to be sanded, especially around the handles. I don't think the price is cheap but the QC is. ... show more

I like these way more than I was expecting. I thought there was 3 but there are 4, so happy. The bottom of the crates is solid, it shows that in the pic so I don't know why I thought the bottom would be slats. They are nice and solid. I'm very happy with them.
