I have a city issued trashcan, normally I do not place any trash bags in because they just don't remain secured. This solves that problem and I can now keep a liner in there to help prevent the interior of the trashcan from getting dirty from trash bags that tear open or just any type of refuse that gets thrown in there I used these this year to pickup leaves. Normally I am hauling around my little 40 gallon trash can, this time just used my large trash can that has wheels, and it was so much easier not having to change out bags or fiddle with the bags falling down into the trashcan. These are ingenious little items that will probably be useful for most homeowners. I rate 5 stars.

We have a round 55g bin for trash and was always having an issue with the bag sliding in if put heavy items. I got these and after using, have not had any issues with the bag moving regardless of the overall trash that has been stored until pickup. Very satisfied with their performance, and not had any concerns with it stretching out or loosing.

I tried this on a Rubbermaid Brute round plastic garbage can, and it was too big. (Not sure if the garbage can was a 44 gallon or 55 gallon.) It was too small to twist around the top twice. Then I tried it on a square garbage can that sits on my restaurant patio, and it worked fine. I took it home and used it on my SimpleHuman garbage can that uses H size bags, and it worked great for me when I doubled it around the edge. Now I can use any 13 gallon trash bags instead of the SimpleHuman ones and they won't fall in! These are a little expensive for really big hair bungees, but they do work on the right sized garbage can.
