The banner is tightly woven. It arrives folded but most of the creases removed with an iron and spritz of water. It is not hemmed. It is not completely opaque and the writing does show through. If you need a clean, white back I’d suggest you use another same-sized banner as a backing. It does not have as strong an odor as vinyl banners. I’m not sure how durable outside this would be. The grommets are not reinforced. The fabric took sharpie markers without bleeding, but some other types of markers did bleed, so I used Sharpies for outlines and edges and filled in with other markers if I needed to. Craft acrylic paint applied well and did not bleed. On this banner, only the black outlines are marker. The colored areas are craft paint. Overall, it is good value for money. I liked that it was fabric. I will buy this type again if needed.
