The pocket configuration has been optimized to let you access the gear you need quickly, and the brass locking YKK zipper and metal tac-stud have been put through the ringer to make sure they won't fail you. Our Urban Ops Outdoor Pants are constructed from a lightweight yet resilient 65% polyester/35% cotton Rip-Stop fabric, and include an elastic waistband so you are as comfortable as possible all day. The articulating knees and gusseted crotch make these pants a great choice for hiking, training, and duty use, and the water and stain resistant fabric treatment keep you looking clean and professional so you can wear them to the office with no problem. Please Note: While the fit may vary from person to person, these pants are measured to the waist size, and the elastic waistband provides a 1" stretch. If you will be tucking in your shirt or using an Inside the Waistband holster, we recommend going up 1 size to compensate for the needed space. These pants are true to size. They have some additional room due to flexible waist band which is not bulky. The legs are somewhat narrow, but wide enough not to restrict comfortable movement. The legs have gussets to make movement even less restrictive. I like that they don't have wide baggy legs. The material is light weight, perfect for warm weather. They are very water resistant. They are nice enough to wear for casual attire. They come out of the wash straight and wrinkle free. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, the phone pocket is useless in that placement, you cannot bend over with your phone in the phone pocket. Despite the phone pocket issue, they are such nice pants otherwise, I have ordered more and will contue too. ... show more

Alright guys, let’s face it, we all hate buying pants. And, when we find a brand/style we like, we usually buy in bulk or stay loyal to that brand. I needed new olive green cargo style pants for my scouting uniform. I searched for 6 days… yeah, I’m picky and hate spending money on things I hate already buying. I was familiar with LA Gear, 3.11 tactical, Dickies, and a few others. Finding a pair with both the design and price was brutal. Out of all the styles, I kept coming back to these. I am so glad I went with this choice. I freaking love them! They are so comfortable, breathable, yet very durable. The pockets are perfect for carrying knives and utility tools. You can tell LA Gear really did their homework and listened to their clients to design a very functional pant that you can wear all day with ease. This is my style, my new type of pant I’ll stay loyal too. No more shopping around for me. The pants fit try to size. I’m a 34 - 32 and they fit perfectly! Now, if you need pants with an ironed seam crease, DO NOT GET THESE. Some uniforms require a nicely pressed seam and these are not designed for that. These are for your more BDU type bottom or tactical style use. These are for the boys in the field getting dirty, and need to move easily. The fabric, I personally feel is premium. It’s got that BDU feel to them, a bit more dressier though. And, they do somewhat repel water so they have a sound to them when you walk. It’s not wind breaker loud, but a bit unique. It’s not loud, just a different sound than blue jeans I didn’t expect. Not a deal breaker by any means, and after 2 washes it’s not even noticeable, perhaps they were just that stiff new. Oh, and the inside seams…. Now THAT’S A COOL TOUCH! I’m not going to tell you what exactly it says because I want you to be just as surprised as I was, but the custom print was unexpected and even though minor, was still really cool, and very much appreciated! If you need a tactical/utility pant without pressed seams…. Just get these. I did all the homework for you and you’re not going to find anything better! You’re welcome! ... show more

    • Hard to beat for the price.

I bought a single pair of these to check out the fit and quality. Considering they're about 2/3 the cost of the pants they're replacing, I wasn't expecting a lot, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I haven't put these through their paces yet, but after an initial wash and dry and wearing them around some, I'm pretty impressed with the quality of these pants. The material feels like you expect from "work pants", i.e. sturdy. I'm certainly not worried about them catching and ripping on anything. It does feel a bit stiff, but being nearly brand new, I've no doubt they'll soften up a bit. The cargo pockets are clever. I like the pass-through and angled flap so you can get into them if you're sitting in a vehicle. The slip pocket is a good feature, and its placement on the left side is fantastic for magazines, but awkward for right-handed phone use and a bit tight for an iPhone XS in a slim case. Waist sizing feels right, and for a 6'2" guy, the 34" inseam lands the bottom of the leg exactly where it ought to be for me, and works well with 8" boots or normal shoes. They are 5 stars all day until they took the extra belt loop off the top back and stitched a plastic button on the front instead of the riveted .metal snap. More belt loops please folks and I have purchased over 15 pairs of these... you really couldn't wreck them unless you wanted. Unless I ordered the wrong type? ... show more

    • Comfortable work pants
The fit and feel are perfect. Plenty of pocket space - the cargo pockets have more room than other pairs of cargo pants that I've tried. The only thing I don't like which really doesn't take away from a 5 star rating is the so-called cell phone pocket. I didn't get these pants for that feature but thought I'd try it. My phone barely fits in the pocket (Samsung Ulta 21). And when a phone is in the pocket, I can't get at it if sitting down. It is also uncomfortable - unless it's designed to take the phone out when sitting? But even bending over to pick something up causes discomfort if using the pocket. I just end up putting the phone in my back pocket and completely ignore the cel phone pocket. As I said, other than that, the pants are flawless in my opinion. So far it also seems that dirt tends to not stick keeping them clean looking longer. Well worth it. ... show more

I purchased these cargo pants for being in the African bush. They are very durable and very comfortable. Like what many reviews mention, they are just a tad tight in the thighs, but I have have that problem with any pair of pants due to years of weightlifting. I do suggest, like what many reviews also say, that you go one size bigger which I did. ( I’m 5’11” 185 and went with 34/32) They fit great in the waist with elastic waist band - even with the bigger size. Since it is mostly polyester, these are ideal for being in the bush. They feel lightweight and quickly dry after getting wet. They are also easier to clean stains than cotton pants. The pockets are conveniently bigger sized. A large +size cell phone will not fit in the special pocket. I don’t have a problem with this. I’m satisfied with my purchase and will test it out again on another safari trip. I will purchase another color (khaki). Thumbs up for the durability and ruggedness coupled with comfort! ... show more
