The strings are weirdly long, the fabric is THIN and needs to be ironed or dried and hung up immediately to prevent wrinkles. But other that it's super cute and fits well. Love this shirt. Very dressy.

This shirt is billowy and soft, the "deep V" neck is not that deep, and has ties -- it's not a plunging V neck that leaves little to the imagination. It is oversized, so I would definitely order your true size or down one, unless you want the super flowy pirate shirt look. I ordered the orange, and it is **orange** like a pumpkin. Which is exactly the color I needed (it's so hard to find the right color orange). If you're considering this for a Renfair costume (fellow Rennies, IWG69 #14 here), I probably wouldn't get it if you're going to wear it in the summer or in the heat: it's not cotton, it might be rayon. First off, I love this top. So soft and drapey. But it runs BIG. But, I like it big. I ordered the dusty white. I was thinking “Dusty White” would be a cool or ever so slightly gray white but still read white. Well, it’s not. It is a beautiful rich buttery cream color. Not slightly ivory. I’m talking almost the color of butter. Although I still need a pretty white blouse, I do love this yummy buttery color so I’m keeping it. But beware, no way could this ever be mistaken for white or even off white or ivory. It’s buttery cream colored.     • "Adequate" poet's blouse for casual outfits

This is exactly as pictured. I'd call it a "poet's blouse". It's very 1970s for gals my age who grew up in that era. It looks good tucked or half tucked. If untucked it is slightly longer in the back which is more flattering on most women IMO. It is very lightweight so great for spring and summer and would be comfortable under a blazer or sweater. The sleeves are long as some have mentioned but this is not a design flaw. The sleeves are meant to be full and romantic and not necessarily worn at the wrist but pushed up a bit to produce a bell sleeve. Although the elastic can be a bit tight if you plan to push the sleeve higher. It is useful to keep sleeves clean while you're eating or washing your hands or cooking. It's true to size which is "roomy" and long. It's meant to be billowy. If you don't tie it at the neck beware when you lean forward or wear something underneath. Its not super high quality. I'd wear it with jeans or hippie skirts or bohemian outfits. Not a corporate blouse. If you order a light color beware that it is the type of fabric that will water spot. I'm not sure it's worth the price because the fabric is not high quality. But it will serve it's purpose as a light casual too. It remains to be seen how well it will wash and hold up with wear.
