This was a great advent calendar for a licorice lover. I enjoyed the unique style and flavors available. The original stick was the very best. Arrived in great condition and was aesthetically pleasing. Though not bad, I was a little surprised that there were duplicate flavors, I was expecting 24 different ones.

First, gorgeous packaging. Second, nearly every day's treat included two pieces of licorice, so easy to share. Fortunately, I bought it for my husband and he was happy to share! Third, and probably most important, the licorice is delicious! Most are covered with chocolate or other candy coating, but the coating complements the licorice and never overpowers it. The little balls of licorice are gorgeous. You could put them all in a bowl and people might wonder if they were marbles. Very unique gift!

We like licorice. We do. We just didn't know about GOURMET licorice! When we tasted the first day on this advent calendar, our world changed. OMG! The variety of flavors that this company is able to create using licorice is incredible and we loved everything. EVERYTHING. If you're not a fan of black licorice, I would recommend trying this. You don't get an overwhelming taste of black licorice. I mean, it's there but you also get fruit flavors or cookie butter or chocolate. And every flavor is bright and fills your mouth with such a full taste. We bought a sampler after trying this because we loved it so much. Will definitely buy this again next year!
