I'm 25 and in my quarter life crisis to be up front. I decided ice skating was going to be my new hobby. I didn't want to pay a crazy amount of money for skates that could potentially not be my hobby in a year. These skates have been FANTASTIC at rinks. Even seasoned skaters have inquired about them. When I tell them the price I got them at, they're blown away at the deal! I wear an 11 in women's US shoes. The 10 fits me perfect with a little wiggle room. I wear them with fuzzy socks and I think the fit is awesome. The blades aren't sharpened when you get them. They're not super dull, but they do need to be sharped eventually. I skated fine with them right out of the box. I had great ankle support in these and I have pretty weak ankles from breaks in the past (lol this quarter life crisis will end well, I know). But I didn't feel wobbly at all in these skates. They're leagues better than the clunky rentals you get at rinks. If you're just looking for good working skates without a crazy price point, these are great!

all i have to say is wow. these are beautiful skates. i got them earlier than expected and they’re perfect. reading these reviews was definitely a little confusing but y’all: these are so worth it. i’m a size 8 shoe so i decided to go down one size. they fit perfectly. i also had on thick socks and they fit snug and comfortable. the ankle support is wonderful - MAKE SURE YOU TIE THEM TIGHT!! some don’t realize if you don’t tie them tight, you’re not gonna feel good ankle support. keep in mind your feet and ankles will need to get used to the skates too. i would recommend wearing fuzzy socks if they’re too big or if you think they’re going to be painful inside to wear. put padding inside as well if you don’t want to wear thick socks. the overall material is great. it’s thick and will hold up for a while. these skates are not meant for competitive figure skating, they’re recreational skates. i’m 20 and an actress - with covid shutting theatres down, who knows when i’ll be back on a stage. learning how to ice skate and eventually figure skate have always been dreams of mine to accomplish. i can’t wait to go to the rink. get these skates!!

They're true to size, and the ankle support is great! The blades come sharpened so no need to worry, they also come with temporary blade covers. Hope this was helpful.

Initially I bought the size 7 for my 13 year old daughter but was conflicted as some reviews said, "Buy the same size as shoe size!" And then others said, "Buy a size up!" It's hard to buy online and when we went to a store to try them on they didn't have her size so I took a leap of faith and bought the size 7. Mistake. Too small!! So returned that one and then bought a size 8 and the size 8 fits well with a bit of room to grow, she'll have to wear thicker socks for now. The blades are NOT sharpened and unlike what some other reviewers purported the skates are NOT GOOD to skate on with unsharpened blades unless you like to go super slow....Our local rink sharpened ours for six bucks and we were on our way. A little disappointed that the seller decided to charge $29.99 for the size 7 and $42 for the size 8. Talk about a price gouge ....

These skates were bought just for skating around a public rink and the pond at the park. They are great for that intended purpose. These are not professional, Olympic-type skates which you can use to do jumps and all that. If you are just looking for a good basic skate to learn in, or just to skate casually with your kids, these are perfect. Now, about fit. Thankfully, they do run a size bigger than a normal shoe size. I wear a hefty women's size 11 shoe, and was nervous about these (max out at size 10) fitting comfortably, even after many reviews advising to size down. After the initial break-in period, they are very comfortable.

These ice skated run true to size and have a good blade; they do complete their overall function as well. However I found that I did have to add extra padding around the ankles because upon the first use after ice skating for less than an hour I had to stop cause the pain was unbearable. There is no padding on the inside which caused bruising along my ankles. Overall I still think the product is worth it because for anyone who knows (ice skates are VERY expensive.) The price is worth the slight modification just be warned in advance so you don’t experience pain.

These ice skates are great for the money. Since it's an inexpensive skate, it's not the best in the field. However, it's still wonderful for recreational skating. If you're wondering about size, go down 2 sizes. Skate sizes are about 2 sizes smaller than your regular shoe size, so keep that in mind. I am a size 7-7 1/2, and I ordered a size 5. Fits well. The blades come UNSHARPENED, so do please sharpen your skates before skating. You can skate with them dull if you want, it's just way better if they're sharp.

Lake Placid Cascade Women's Figure Ice Skate, White/Gold Accent, Size 8 I am so very happy with these. We got them for my niece's birthday and they fit her perfectly. She will be starting her ice skating lessons again soon, as that is my Christmas present to her. I am very excited as she is now in Freestyle 1 classes and I think she will do well. Hopefully her feet will not grow anymore since she is already my size. lol The design on these is beautiful and the blade looks great! As someone who used to work a supervisor at an ice rink, I recommend these for those who are younger and may not have the funds to get the more expensive ones.
