Ordered this dress in Navy size XL. This review/video is right out of the package, so it is a bit wrinkled but nothing a wash won’t work out. I am 5’5”, 198lbs, and wear a 38DDD. This was the perfect size for me. I typically buy XL or size 16 (sometimes 14 if something runs large). The tag says100 percent cotton and it feels like a linen cotton. There is a subtle pattern/texture that makes the garment look richer to me. It does have a slippery navy liner sewn into the back from the back shoulder seam down and from the front of the waistline seam down. There is approx 4” of length below the liner that does not have any liner—hem area. It is so well sewn-in that I would never be bothered by it—unlike some dresses in which the built-in slip is too tight or moves around a lot. Positives: lightweight, A-line silhouette, pretty blue color, not see-thru, runs true to size, length just to my kneecap, feels like nothing when wearing, elasticized sleeve cuffs that are not tight at all, modest v-neck, roomy upper arm width (there is no stretch to the fabric at all), love the sleeve length, these last two are crucial because I have large upper arms. It can also be dressed down with some cute sneakers or up with some dressy sandals/jewelry. Negatives: the armpit of the sleeve is a sewn in LITTLE lower than I would like but this is not a deal breaker—when I raise my arm, I am a little limited (but not enough that I wouldn’t wear it or even purchase another one potentially!), waist-line is not accentuated making it look a little less flattering (but to wear to teach—in non air-conditioned room) and to stroll around London in its August heat, it is PERFECT. I wish I had a better way to film as I promise the dress looks much cuter and is a bit more flattering in person than on my video. 🙃

I love these dresses! I've ordered three of them now. They're so easy to just throw on with a pair of sandals and go when you want something light and cool to wear, but still want to look put together. I've worn them out running errands, to church, and get-togethers with friends. I've gotten compliments on them.😊 Looking for a dress with pockets? These have really big ones! I have one of the biggest phones on the market and it fits easily into one of the pockets and I can put my keys, sunglasses, etc., in the other. The only time I have issues with my phone falling out is if I am bending over to pick something up off the floor. Then, alas, gravity takes over.😉 The dresses are 100% cotton with a light polyester lining for the skirt. The way the dress is structured, the skirt barely skims me from the waist down, so the polyester lining doesn't feel heavy or hot to me, not even when I'm sitting down on it. The cotton material is light-weight with a really nice pattern woven into it. The pattern is more obvious in the lighter colors. Because it's not a knit like a t-shirt, there's no stretch to it. That's not a bad thing, it's just something to be aware of in case that's what you want. I really like the way this dress is tailored, more fitted through the bodice, though not tight, and then looser through the belly and hips, in case that's an area where you need a more forgiving fit, which I do. The 3/4 sleeves are also a looser fit through the upper arms, not tight at all, and then gathered in at bottom, enough to give a nice definition without being snug. I wash them on my washer's permanent press cycle on cold and hang them up to dry. I haven't noticed any shrinking or fading. I am 5'4", wear a size 16XL, and am short-waisted. These all run true to size and come to my knee. Size and length have all been consistent in the three dresses that I ordered. I ordered three different colors. The black is a nice, deep black, which may not be the best choice on a really hot day while walking in the sun. The navy is on the lighter side, easily discernible from the black. The salmon I ordered because one reviewer said it was more of a rosy pink than a peachy color. Alas, mine was not, so just know that going in if you are hoping for a pink.

the green is a nice, light subtle color. the gently patterned fabric is very nice, and the fit OK as recommended . i am 5' 6 1/2 " and about 180 pounds. 2X was suggested. it is a bit large , but i did not want something too tight on the bust, so i am happy. it is longer than expected, hitting just below knee, but it should be easy enough for me to take up the hem a few inches. not sure i like the non cotton lining. it does make it less see through which is a plus, but it also feels like it might get sticky on hot days or for 'beach cover' purposes. have not tested it out yet. OTOH it is possible the lining helps the dress drape better. fortunately the lining does not go all the way to the hem..so i won't have to mess with the lining when i take up the hem. might even remove it if it bugs me, but for now, this is a lovely garment.

This dress and the fit was exactly what I was hoping for, and even exceeded expectations. But one surprise element to this dress that wasn't noted in the fabric content, which the garment description shows as 100% cotton, is that it has a light lining that's definitely synthetic. But the lining has a nice, silky feel, making this already comfortable dress slip on like a dream. In the front, the lining starts below the front bodice, at the gathered part of the dress, and in the back, it starts right under the neck yoke. I was worried that the lining would make this otherwise cotton dress a bit hot, especially on the back if you're sitting against something like a hot car seat for any length of time. But that's not the case. Even in almost 100-degree weather, the dress stayed cool. And the lining keeps the dress from being too sheer, so I'm glad it's there, even if it's not cotton. This is a pretty forgiving style, so I bought it in a size larger than I usually wear. I'm 5'5'', and it came just about a couple of inches below my knee, which is perfect for me. The fact that it drapes a bit better in the larger size actually makes it more flattering and slimming than if the fit at the top was a bit less loose. The dress is surprisingly well made, and the cotton fabric is soft, has great movement and is not at all stiff. Though having previously worked for years in women's apparel, I expect that certain fabric colors may have slightly different textures. And as is often the case with less expensive clothing, the quality of the fabric can change from garment to garment -- whether due to the dye colors used or changes in fabric sourcing -- even if it's the same make and style. So I'll be prepared for some variations when I order more, because I definitely want this dress in more colors. 7/13/24 UPDATE: It's been sweltering here in NorCal for the past couple of weeks, and this dress is all I want and can bear to wear in this heat. Even though the light lining isn't cotton, the dress is still cool and comfortable, and the lining allows the body of the dress to drape nicely. Just received delivery of my third of these dresses, and after wearing the previous two quite a bit, I really appreciate the light texture to the fabric, which keeps it from appearing wrinkled, even if you take an unplanned, heat-induced nap in it. Woke up and the dress was surprisingly unwrinkled! Oh, and now that I have it in three colors, I can report that the quality of the fabric and construction is consistent with each order. Also -- can't stress this enough -- buying it a bit oversized is actually more sliming than having it too tight over the bodice. And due to the slight drape of the lined body of the dress, it doesn't balloon out and make you look larger. Be brave and go big!

I have two of these dresses now. Just pull it on and go. I am 5’6” and 128 pounds. The small fits me great and hits just above my knees. They are 100% cotton and lightly lined with a comfortable light fabric, which I like, so undergarments do not show through. I wash on cold and dry on low heat and remove immediately from dryer to a hanger. May have shrunk a tiny bit, but not much. I don’t iron them, but you could, if you liked that type of finish look. I am 65 years old and with the three-quarter length sleeve and styling, this dress makes me feel good and maybe even look appropriately youthful.

I returned this as it looked like I was wearing a very thin bag. The material is like that fabric they put around shoes or mid-end purse dust covers. I imagine it’s a fine, lightweight cover up but it doesn’t cover much and you’d definitely burn through it. My husband poo pooed it as soon as he saw it. I like the melony pink color. It wasn’t super soft and it seemed like it would pull and pull pretty fast. It isn’t stretchy but is flowy like a bag and oversized. It was wrinkly but would most likely be unwrinkled in a matter of seconds in heat and humidity as it is so thin. You may like it as a cover up in the shade but probably not if you want any shape at all.

Received my dress today. It is made exactly as described…. EXCEPT it has no lining. The description of this dress plainly states it has a lining that covers the front from the slight gathering all the way to hem. It also states that there is a lining in the back from the yoke ( at the shoulders) all the way to hem in back back. There is absolutely no lining whatsoever! I need this dress for tomorrow and now I can’t wear it!! I do not own a black slip! ( I haven’t worn slips in many years) This is false advertising. I debated buying this dress, but most reviews were very good, mentioning the dress being lined. Very upset about this!

This dress is so comfortable and practical, I bought two. The cotton is surprisingly substantial and the overall effect is polished. Love the sleeves and the fit in the shoulders. I throw it on with my Birkenstocks and go anywhere. Petfect for summer in the Bay Area.
