Top Amazon Reviews

  • Quality - light, tight, springy
Size: 10.5 Color: Carbon/Opal
This is a really good shoe - probably the best I've had. I started out looking for a decent running shoe, just couldn't find anything appealing. Somehow I stumbled across La Sportiva. Never heard of them before. The reviews were quite good, and a couple mentioned how this particular shoe could just as well be considered a running shoe (as opposed to strictly a hiking shoe). That got my attention. Also, others mentioned how this shoe runs a little small. I went a 1/2 size larger than I normally do, and am quite happy with it. I have never had a sensation of my feet wanting to "spring up" when walking around in them. I kinda felt like those videos where dogs are wearing some type of doggy shoes - they awkwardly lift their legs up, hilarious. Not that this was awkward or uncomfortable in any way. I immediately wanted to move, to run. And when I did it was quite cushioned - firm but soft. I've only had them for a week, so can't speak to their durability. But so far, no doubt the best running AND hiking shoes I've every worn. No more knee and back problems after running. I'd say go a half size up. Definitely worth the cost. ... show more

  • My favorite for trail running
Size: 8.5 Color: Carbon/Opal
I am a woman with a size 9 and a wide forefoot. I wear the Wildcats in a men's 8.5. They are awesome for trail running. They are a bit heavy, but I run on technical terrain. The toe guard has saved me multiple times after kicking rocks. They are roomy in the toe box for my foot and have stability for my slight pronation. I use them all year round in sun, rain, and snow. Great traction. The only problem I've had is that the material in uppers wears very quickly. Still my favorite trail running shoes! ... show more

  • Excellent shoes!
Size: 11.5 Color: Carbon/Opal
Just received my third pair of these and I could not be happier! I regularly hike/walk 3,5-4 miles about 5 times a week at decent pace and I wear these out in like 8 months. I've done some jogging in them and they never leave my feet sore. They run half a size small tho and that is very important to take note of, if you're not sure exactly what size you are take advantage of the amazon free return thing to make sure you get the right size. Once worn out I still get another few months out of them by using them as my wading shoes when I go fishing, they dry off pretty fast and they're way more comfortable than wearing clonky wadingboots in small streams! :) As an added bonus, they look really nice, I love that blue color!! ... show more

  • Order 1 size up!
Size: 11 Color: Carbon/Opal
I purchased these shoes as a backup pair of light hikers in an 11. They are a bit snug as all of the reviews have stated. I should have ordered a size 12. I decided that I would keep them until I returned from vacation. I put them back in the box and test them when I return. Now that I have returned I tried on the shoes again and decided that 1 size up would really make a difference. I have missed the return window by 2 days. If my feet ever shrink a size I'll be ready with an unused pair of new hikers (tags intact) living in a box under my bed. My 5-star rating is because they feel great walking on the hardwood flooring and I could barely feel the transition to tile. They are a little snug but feel sturdy while walking up and down carpeted stairs. Overall they are probably nice hikers. ... show more

  • The shoe is very reliable and it holds very well
Size: 10.5 Color: Carbon/Opal
I purchased this model of shoe first time 3 years ago after trying it at REI - the size that fitted me was 10.5 which is more than my regular number. I used my first shoe to hike the 500 miles of the camino de Santiago with not even a single blister. I bought a second exact shoe for my Kumano Kodo and part of the Shikoku also around 400 miles. Earlier this year I purchased my third exact pair and did the rest of Shikoku trail about 500 miles. I continue to use pair #1 for my garden work, Pair #2 - going to work with and probably wil start using Pair #3 for that purpose. No blisters, the shoe holds with no issue for miles and miles. Of course after so many miles part of the high areas at the bottom of the shoe get "sanded" and that's actually why I purchase a new pair. ... show more

  • 12.5 Smaller than a 12…
Size: 12.5 Color: Carbon/Opal
The media could not be loaded. I already owned a size 12 Men’s. Actually, the shoes have been great, but adding an insole made the shoes fit too tight. I ordered a 12.5, so I could use an orthotic. They shipped me a 12.5, but it was smaller than my 12. I checked tags and boxes multiple times. Thought I lose’n my mind. I reached out to customer service and they said call warranty and make a claim. I called and got the voicemail (big surprise) and left a message. No response. Been almost 2 months. I’m assuming they won’t at this point. Poor customer experience… ... show more
