Love this bible. I am growing my faith back closer to GOD and don't understand things but this bible has the kjv and then simplified out by it so it's easier to understand what you are learning. Definitely would recommend this for anyone that has a hard time understanding the wording in the bible.

Soft-leather for easy flipping through the Word. I compared this 'Big Lettering' edition to another big letter (not paralleled) and found out it is actually bigger. At close to 60 years of age, I need that edge. The price is right too. Protective page (edge) coating and thick leather cover will help this last longer. The ONLY TWO CONS:1.)"Large Print". If you believe large print is 14 font and up, this is not it. If you read the description, it is only 10 point font. So for many reviews saying how small it is, yes it is small, but it does say font size in description. So this was a tad deceiving. 2) The pages are thin. If you pull too hard or have a toddler on your lap while you read, haha, beware if they grab at it. It does have a good binding though. I took off only one star for these two cons. Overall, this is an absolutely beautiful bible. The golden edges, the two toned cover, little satin ribbon... As a new reader I was conflicted where to start with all the options out there. I decided that I knew I wanted a KJV in the house but wanted something that also broke things down so I could understand it better as a first time reader, this was perfect. I ordered a NLT Life Application Bible as well because I figured the maps and time lines would be helpful as a first time reader. Even with the NLT Life Applications, I would never want to part with this because sometimes the "text book" type style with all the extra maps, profile info, time lines, study notes etc become too much and take away from the actual word itself. This paralle bible is well made and will last long enough to be passed down. ... show more
