I have very thick hair and years ago got into the spiral hair ties. Unfortunately, larger spiral hair ties always tend to stretch out way too much. I have even tried the boiling water trick to try and have them tighten up. I decided to try the Kitsch Spiral Hair Ties because of their smaller size and neutral colors. I am a fan! They hold my thick hair up in a pony tail nicely.

I just ordered these again, and realized I never wrote a review for the first order. Unfortunately, due to an illness, my hair started to thin. It was always falling in my face so I started wearing it in a ponytail or top knot every day. But every time I saw ripped out hair in my regular ponytail holder, I wanted to cry. These do not pull out, tear, or damage my hair. (I’ve maybe pulled out 6 hairs in a year.) A bonus: if I use them on my wet hair or just dried, still warm hair, they don’t leave a mark where the band was. I like that the shape of the holder gives an option for a bit of lift the ponytail if you want it. The bands do stretch out a bit when in use. What I did to make them last longer is—after removing at the end of the day—I pushed them back together like you would a spring. (It’ll make sense if you’re looking at one.) They would go back to their original shape and tightness for at least another couple of weeks. I bought a pack of four 11 months ago and I’m just now breaking out the last one. Since I’m down to one, I’m going to order another set. They are great!!

It holds my hair OK but I like the ones I can fit around my wrist so I always have one handy. These are like the size of a half dollar when not stretched out, so they're obviously not wrist size. They stretch out enough, but it's not as comfortable.
