Great saddle

  • Ok Saddle for the Price
I am transitioning from the Hunter world to Endurance and this was in the price range that I could afford. My horse is spooky so using my jump saddle to start off with was not really going well-not nearly secure enough. Due to being in an industry hit hard by the pandemic I had very small budget for a saddle. This saddle is not bad for the price you pay. The only real negative is that there is a spot where the flap and seat meet that is extremely hard and uncomfortable on your thighs when you post the trot. As the saddle has broken in it has gotten better but I highly doubt it will ever go away completely. I will be putting some kind of padding on the saddle for the time being. Once we get more serious in the endurance world I will be buying something of better quality. Overall, if this saddle is what you can afford and you don't plan on posting the trot a lot then it's not a bad way to go. ... show more

  • Not what I was hoping for
Color: Black Size: 16.5In
I researched this saddle for a couple of weeks before purchasing it, and I couldn't find anything but good reviews online. So I took the plunge and bought it through another vendor. To say I was completely disappointed is an understatement. The saddle is extremely cheap quality, and looks and feels that way too. The stitching was already coming loose on some areas, and I hadn't even removed it from the box it was shipped in. In addition, there is nothing mentioned on the website about the size of the tree, but it is very narrow. I have a TWH gelding, a QH gelding, and a POA gelding, all of which comfortably wear a medium tree, and none of which have especially wide withers. This tree was too narrow for all three of them. Unfortunately, I made the decision to purchase from a vendor other than amazon, so I had to eat the return shipping fees. However, I have definitely learned that you get what you pay for, so save yourself the trouble and keep looking. I'll save my money and splurge on a Tucker. ... show more
