I had a military ball to go to and I wanted to not be status quo! I got this dress and put a tulle petticoat under it. The compliments I received were endless. My husband loved it. I was shocked that it didn’t look as costumey as I thought after I used the tulle petticoat (I got off Amazon too) to make it look so much more expensive. My husband said that he saw a lot of jealous women eyeing me. I had people make it a point to come up to me and give me compliments. The corset made it elegant as it was well made and beautifully put together. I did order a size up as I knew I had to listen to endless command speeches and wanted to sit more comfortably. I also liked the idea of having an open back so I actually didn’t use the back modesty panel. I just tucked it into the corset as it’s attached. If I wanted to do so I would have had to get 2 sizes up instead of 1 but I wanted an open back. We had a photographer at the ball who kept taking pictures of me as my dress was so elaborate. Most of the guys go out for an after party in the city so I walked around in that dress late into the night and had no issues. You may need a little help having someone lace you up. My husband got me into it easily but since it is laced up in the back it needs another person to help you into it. The corset is very expensive looking. The sleeves I was worried would look cheap but since they are black they blend in very well. It’s a very dramatic dress yet very modern. I was concerned I’d look like a saloon girl in those amusement park photos but this was so well done it looked like a modern dress with my petticoat. I don’t know how I’ll top this dress next year. His Lt. made it a point to compliment the dress. I would highly recommend this and for the price it’s not just a cheap tatty dress.

The costume is beautiful, but the corset definitely runs small! For reference, I’m 5’9” and a US size 2/4 (usually wear a small), and I purchased the medium Based on other reviews. The skirt piece fit well (even a little big as it has an elastic waistband) and was very very short in the front (I wore thick tights so it was fine). But the corset top fit very tight. I needed my husband to also help me tie it in the back. So definitely size up! Otherwise a lovely made dress and excellent quality.

(Used my dad's account) This costume is beautiful and it's actually better quality than I would of expected, however...THIS IS SMALL and I mean SMALL. For reference, I am an L/XL in tops and weight about 177 pounds. My waist is about 37.5 in, and my bust is about 41.5 inch and I barely have a chest, I am a B cup size and I barely got this on, and it's a 4X. I couldn't gain an inch anywhere else in my torso area or this would not fit. I definitely should of gotten a 5X, which is funny considering I was debating on getting a 3X. I'm keeping it because it fits, but beware that you have to size up 4 times to really get a good fit and definitely rely on the size chart that's provided, and not Amazon as that is US sizes and this is Asia sizes. Besides how small it is, I highly recommend it and for a costume it's definitely good quality and allows for a bunch of different accessories.

Used this for a Ghouls weekend as part of my witch outfit and it was such a hit! Based on reviews, I ordered a 2XL (regularly wear M/L). I probably could have gotten away with a L, in all honesty. The back part is held together with a ribbon that is so easily loosened to make the corset wider. I definitely recommend maybe going up a size, but not 2-3 sizes up like reviews say. It was very comfortable and the material was beautiful. I didn’t want to take it off and I can’t wait to wear it again.

Bought this for an evening event at Spirit Mansion. Plan was to dress in Gothic/Victorian attire. I am 5’6 and 143lbs and the XL fit great with just an inch or so of space before corset was completely tightened so a large may have worked as well if corset was loosened more as it does have a 4in modesty panel. I was able to wiggle in it by myself but the buttons were pretty difficult to hook back together so it might be easier to loosen the corset and leave buttons closed (if you have someone to help tighten back up). The skirt was long and flowy and had an elastic waist so it could fit a variety of waist sizes smaller or larger. It did seem a bit long but hopefully I can find some heeled boots or platforms to help but I bet I can pin up/roll up at the waist or pull up higher under the corset to shorten the length some.
