I had a military ball to go to and I wanted to not be status quo! I got this dress and put a tulle petticoat under it. The compliments I received were endless. My husband loved it. I was shocked that it didn’t look as costumey as I thought after I used the tulle petticoat (I got off Amazon too) to make it look so much more expensive. My husband said that he saw a lot of jealous women eyeing me. I had people make it a point to come up to me and give me compliments. The corset made it elegant as it was well made and beautifully put together. I did order a size up as I knew I had to listen to endless command speeches and wanted to sit more comfortably. I also liked the idea of having an open back so I actually didn’t use the back modesty panel. I just tucked it into the corset as it’s attached. If I wanted to do so I would have had to get 2 sizes up instead of 1 but I wanted an open back. We had a photographer at the ball who kept taking pictures of me as my dress was so elaborate. Most of the guys go out for an after party in the city so I walked around in that dress late into the night and had no issues. You may need a little help having someone lace you up. My husband got me into it easily but since it is laced up in the back it needs another person to help you into it. The corset is very expensive looking. The sleeves I was worried would look cheap but since they are black they blend in very well. It’s a very dramatic dress yet very modern. I was concerned I’d look like a saloon girl in those amusement park photos but this was so well done it looked like a modern dress with my petticoat. I don’t know how I’ll top this dress next year. His Lt. made it a point to compliment the dress. I would highly recommend this and for the price it’s not just a cheap tatty dress.

(Used my dad's account) This costume is beautiful and it's actually better quality than I would of expected, however...THIS IS SMALL and I mean SMALL. For reference, I am an L/XL in tops and weight about 177 pounds. My waist is about 37.5 in, and my bust is about 41.5 inch and I barely have a chest, I am a B cup size and I barely got this on, and it's a 4X. I couldn't gain an inch anywhere else in my torso area or this would not fit. I definitely should of gotten a 5X, which is funny considering I was debating on getting a 3X. I'm keeping it because it fits, but beware that you have to size up 4 times to really get a good fit and definitely rely on the size chart that's provided, and not Amazon as that is US sizes and this is Asia sizes. Besides how small it is, I highly recommend it and for a costume it's definitely good quality and allows for a bunch of different accessories.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this but this dress is awesome. The corset is legit and really holds you in and pushes the girls up. I followed others recommendation of going up two sizes. It worked but was a hair loose if I could do it over, I'd go up only one size but still love the outfit. Worth every penny.

I even took measurements before purchasing. I’ve gained 80lbs over a year and a half so I wasn’t sure what size to get. Measurements: bust45 waist40 hips45 and I’m 5’ 7 3/4” 5 feet 7and 3 quarters inches tall. I ordered the largest size. The skirt had an elastic band that stayed on okay but would come straight off with the slightest tug, the top was slipping off constantly. It made me look extremely boxy because i couldn’t lace it up tightly like I had hoped. Arms fit comfortably, and my arms are pretty plump at the moment. It was great quality, beautifully made. I wish I had gotten a size or TWO smaller.

I looked at it and as with MOST "Halloween costumes", I thought, "Yea. Right." Probably some cheesy thing with two pieces of lace dangling off the back, and so on. Wrong! It is so pretty. Problem is, I ordered an XXL. The chart said "XL" But I've gained weight. So I went with the XXL. It has room in the corset. So you can adjust it quite a bit. The skirt is elastic and has quite a bit of room as well. I'm usually a 14 or 16. I'm not well endowed. 40B-C. Waist is 35ish Hips 43ish. I'm 5'6, 165. STEAM the skirt. If you don't have a "My Little Steamer". Get one. Promise you'll thank me. Don't get a knock off. Get that brand. You'll wonder why you didn't before. I'm pretty modest. So I bought one of the black peasant shirts and just stuffed the lace corset sleeves in. They're just lace. So you don't even notice. Hope this helps.
