Box was delivered in good condition and we had zero broken pieces after I unboxed everything so that was awesome. It took me 5 ish hours to put together by myself. The only part I got help with was putting the roof on because the braces used to attach the roof panels together is kind of flimsy and the panels will come apart of you aren't careful when you lift it. I found out the hard way but luckily nothing broke when one of the panels came off when I was trying to put the roof on myself. All of the parts are labeled so that helps a lot know where everything goes. The biggest advice I'd give is to pay close to the orientation of the panels in the instructions and keep a close eye on where all the holes should be. I messed up twice and had to go back and take something apart to flip it around so the holes lined up right. Besides that it's a pretty easy and straightforward thing to put together, it's just time consuming, but the kids love it! ... show more

Bought for my daughters 3rd birthday, but I also bought this playhouse because it’s tall enough for my 6 year old to play inside with her. It took my husband and I a little less than 3 hours to put together. A power drill is a absolute must, it will take you triple time to put together by hand. Couple pieces missing and a couple pieces of the wood were split, but we made it work, thankfully my husband knows about carpentry and is very handy. Pretty sturdy wood but light enough to move if needed, with 2 people. Shipping was so fast, literally one day. All and all, a great purchase and not going to sweat on the small stuff! Love the design and openness of the inside. I bought this for a chicken coop verses and old barn style for garden appeal. The directions do have a few frustrating sections but like most, if you flip ahead to see where everything connects you can figure it out. It took two of us just under 4 hours to complete. Much like some other reviewers I added caulking and will be adding a sealant due to humidity. Also I will be putting in plexiglass windows to seal it off. Aside from the concern regarding weather proofing this is a nice playhouse. The wood is thin and if you experience more then two seasons in your region you will definitely want to seal it. Also although it’s generally a no-brainer I will state, this requires a flat level surface and although two people could certainly lift the weight to move it, I highly recommend building where you intend for it to be because of the lack of total support in each corner. Moving it is possible but I don’t recommend unless you have serious skills I would recommend. ... show more

I was a little worried when the box arrived as it was big and a little roughed up. After unpacking and laying everything out, all pieces and parts were accounted for, with just two wood pieces slightly split. My two girls love it so far. Just need to paint it pink and it's all good. There is no floor to the playhouse, so plan for that. This took my father and I 5 hours to build and 5 beers/ea, depending on your unit of measure. We are handy, but expect 4-6 hours depending on your skill level. Instructions were clear and concise. Recommended tools/supplies: drill with hex & Phillips bits, screwdriver, hammer, hand clamps, exterior wood glue, caulk if you want to seal gaps & cooler of icy refreshments of course. ... show more

We were really excited about finding this on Amazon. We thought it would make a great addition to our Tiki Bar themed backyard. The kids loved it the first week we had it. Then came the rains. The BBQ side of the wall has started to crack. The glue on the roof has started to be compromised and you see the boards starting to warp. The finish on the picnic table has already coming off, and the table shows water damage almost like water damage on particle board (it's not particle board). The back side of the roof also shows early signs of warping. Very disappointed for how much time I put into this. ... show more

We should have returned it before we starting building due to chips in most of the wood pieces, warped wood, and the “white” wood was barely white. I was determined to put it together as I’ve seen so many makeovers of this adorable house. The warped wood pieces became an issue immediately when we started building. Things were not lining up but we kept pushing through because I didn’t want to take it apart and package it all back up to return. Eventually we got it built with only one broken window in the process, which we ordered through the company to have replaced. We wanted to paint it which was an easy process compared to building the house. Overall, the quality is not the greatest, at least the box we received. It made it extremely difficult to have things line up so if you take a close look at our house, it puckers at the bottom corners, the two roofs aren’t perfect, and there are chunks of wood missing but that’s nothing a 1.5 old is going to care about. We live in a 4 season climate so I’m not confident it will hold up in the cold, winter months but I’ll update this after. ... show more

This is awesome as a chicken coop! My two girls and their man can now live comfortably in their new home. I was going to buy a coop that’s meant for chickens but they’re a $1,000+ and they are all too small for Brahmas like I have. I am so glad my wife wanted us to go this route. First, the wood is a good quality. The screws and such are as well, although the screws were a little short to make this really sturdy. I know when I read reviews for this I was mainly concerned with how difficult the assembly would be. The answer to that is: difficult. I hired a licensed handy man and he and my husband assembled it together. It absolutely took two ppl to do this. It also took a good 4 hours, with no breaks. So be prepared for this to be a long assembly. That being said, the directions were clear. It’s just a lot of work. I think the house is worth the effort for quality and such, but if you don’t have someone that knows what he or she is doing to build this, you may want a different product. ... show more
