This is one waterproof snug jacket. I have left standing water on the jacket for about 30 minutes and the jacket did not feel it. It just rolled off without any trace of the water. Love multiple features of the jackets. The pockets are lined/zipped and sealed and nothing can get into them - to help keep anything inside dry. I also like the velcro that is at several places to help enclose the body even more, in addition to the front zipper. The hoodie is removable. The jacket is very thick and it appears it would be one very warm (currently it is 90 degrees where I am at [summer]). Can't say enough about this jacket. One small warning would be the size. My kid is 8 years old and at the 95% of his age and wears youth medium shirts. We ordered 11/12 year old size and it almost fits him now. I would suggest to order size up.

Really durable and comfortable jacket. Tons of pockets and tons of warmth. Keeps kids warm and dry in the slush or rain or snow. Highly recommend. Sizing was a little small so size up one.

We don’t get a lot of snow or winter in our part of the country, but we do get some. This jacket we got for our grandson has a nice outer shell that can easily handle a sledding run, snowball fight, or just winter precipitation. The jacket is well constructed with nice seams and zipper. They even use the "good velcro." The hood can be removed and has a visor to allow for glare relief. Pockets have zippers. The fleece lining is soft without being scratchy, however it does not zip out. We appreciated the reflective logos and stripes on the jacket as a safety feature. I don’t know why he would need it, but there is a compass on the sleeve that he thought was neat. Nice-looking, well-made jacket.

Thick and heavy, I feel so much better sending my kid outside with this coat. Its so cozy and warm! Roomy for extra layers underneath Fleece inside the back and all along the hood, with the hood also being removable. Great winter coat for kids!

I ordered a 13-14 year old jacket for my 12-year-old, just in case the size ran small. It turns out it's a bit too big for him to wear this winter, so we might have to wait until next year. For reference, he's small and skinny compared to others his age. The jacket itself is quite warm, with a waterproof outer material, and the hoodie can be removed. It doesn’t get very cold in winter where we live, but we do go skiing sometimes, and this jacket should be good for those trips.
