The fabric in this garment is just lovely- and there s LOTS of it, lol! While the inside of the garment is solely black (so it is completely non-transparent) the exterior color is a deep ocean blue (their description is "foggy blue") . Personally, I generally prefer that most fabrics are the same on both sides, but this garment is functional the way it is designed, so that is not a negative, just a personal preference. I really love the designer texture of the fabric, it feels like a woven and 'brushed' 3-D tapestry. ("Brushed – A finishing process for knit or woven fabrics in which brushes or other abrading devices are used on a loosely constructed fabric to permit the fibers in the yarns to be raised to create a nap on fabrics or create a novelty surface texture.)" The entire dress is very lightweight, especially considering just how many yards went into this construction of it. That said, the fabric is delicate. It is NOT as delicate as muslin or silk, but you will certainly want to be careful to avoid snags or the wear and tear of daily living. As another reviewer noted, the neck-hole is a tight fit- if you just had your hair styled, or you are lucky enough to have a great deal of thick hair, this may present a problem. Ditto with the sleeves. This was made for a taller person than I am, so I will have the hem shortened and use the excess fabric to construct a matching handbag. In Summary- the color and fabric detailing are beautiful, the design is appropriate (except for the sizing of the neck and arm holes) and functions as advertised. The day I wore this was a mid-range Spring Day- the fabric breathed sufficiently and was comfortable.

I ordered this to wear just because I thought it looked really cool and the metallic fabric was really interesting. I love the idea of just being able to throw this on and wear it around like when I use fake tanner or something. I absolutely love that it comes with the ties on the inside to cinch in the waist and the sleeves although they're long are manageable and really had a dramatic flair. I don't really have a use for the hijab that comes with it but it is very long and seems like it would be easy to wear. The material is very lightweight and breathable but definitely not see-through and seems like it will be pretty durable. I am 5 ft 6 in tall and about 120 lb currently.

This abaya looks like a cheap halloween costume, the material is thin and doesn't feel durable. Very disappointed by the quality. Although the size is not bad, the blue color is darker and duller than I had wanted it to be.

This dress is absolutely perfect in its flattering fit, beautiful flow and modest cut. I am 5'6, about 152 lbs, proportionately built and in my late 40s. The dress is floor length on me and can be worn with or without heels. It looks gorgeous in action except for the the color which is... mmm, an unfortunate disaster. Amazon listing shows a beautiful emerald green color which is on trend and has slight shimmer making it suitable for a dressy, special occasion. In reality, the color is VERY bright, VERY shiny, giving 80s themed show at a circus vibe. My heart sank upon unpacking this garment. It is BRIGHT, WILD and makes the otherwise gorgeous dress look cheap and tasteless. I think you may have a better luck with another color. Emerald green it just too much of a statement in itself and I so wish I ordered a more subtle variant like beige or pale blue. Deep sigh... Proceed with caution. If the color works out for you, this dress does have the potential to be your most favorite of all.

None of the features of this abaya really matter given that it's absolutely unwearable. The head opening is so small that I couldn't almost get my head through. It honestly seems like it was made with three arm holes. Who was meant to wear this?? It seems like it was designed on a dress form with no thought to the fact that human beings with heads would have to put it on.

Nice abaya, and it looks okay, but very hard to manage and move around with. It has straps on the inside that would wrap around the waist when worn. They are good, but when wearing the abaya, it is very hard to stand and sit, and to pray, as it keeps getting in the way. The color is very shiny, and the length is perfect on me, and I am five feet 8 inches. It's a nice, elegant style look and great when just standing up or walking around, but if you need to sit and stand, this would be hard to work with, especially if you're heavy.

This abaya dress is so beautiful. True to size and color and fits like a dream. As someone else mentioned the neck hole is a tad small but not as bad as they had made it out to be. I love the way this looks on me, I feel like an angel and I love how it been be cinched at the waist. Came with a matching head scarf as well! Very elegant!

This is a gorgeous color and the abaya itself is great. It is wide and comfy and you’re able to tie it down from the back but it’s also very elegant and stylish when worn. It really takes a nice look but is very hard to move around in as I would start tripping on myself. Especially if changing position or trying to perform my prayers in it.
