The installation instructions were very poor. I’m usually able to install things but it took me a long time to figure out that there were dimples where the mounting holes should go. A reference to that would have made the job go much better. Some mention of how much to tighten the self tapping screws would have been helpful, as well. They are not as easy to install as you would believe, my maverick x3 didn't have dimples to show where to install the lower half of the back pieces. You are drilling into plastic and screwing into plastic so don't over tighten any screws or miss the target area or you'll need to use a different screw size to compensate for the error. The front screw on both front pieces should be longer, they barely screw in and rip out too easy at the first trail branch scrape. ... show more

My biggest gripe is the cheap looking Phillips screws provided. The kit really fits great. They are a shade off on color even after shining them. For the price I’d rather smash these off trees than the brp version.

My kit had the wrong screws and no instructions as to what pieces went where. They seem to be very well built and look sharp. Just disappointed they didn't send the correct screws. On the videos I found for installation, they all had longer screws ( maybe 2"), my kit had 1" screws that didn't quite fit on some of the piece. ... show more
