The material is so nice! It's lightweight and flowy, but not so much that it's see-through. I love the style and how it fits! I was worried initially, because I ordered this to wear for a wedding && I didn't want it to look like I was wearing a robe. Totally not like that at all! It's cute && perfect for a summer wedding- even fall! The high-low feature looks a little dramatic on me, but that's just because I'm 5 feet && 4.75 inches, so you'll have that if you're a little on the shorter side. It's got a bit of stretch to it, but not much. However, it seems to be pretty true to size. I'm a plus sized girlie, but ordered an 18, which is my size accross the board for most things, at the moment. For reference, (and since it really made it hard for me to gage/pick a size since most people don't post their weight) I am roughly 239 pounds. It is very great quality, seems to be a great value for the money that I paid, && comfortable with the lightweight fabric. Ohhhh, &&, it has POCKETS! I purchased this dress for my niece’s wedding in June. I absolutely love the print, and the fit was spot on. I followed the sizing chart and ordered accordingly, and it fit perfectly. The dress has a belt tie and a wrap style neckline, but it is not a true wrap dress since it is sewn down pretty far on the skirt. It also has a high/low hemline, which I normally don’t care for because I don’t like showing my legs above the knee, but this dress covered them up nicely and actually looked very flattering. The cut of the dress is very becoming, and it was comfortable to wear. It is also hand washable, which is a plus. That said, I’m not sure how cool the material would be for an outdoor summer wedding, and it arrived extremely wrinkled straight out of the package, so I don’t believe it’s wrinkle resistant. Ultimately, I decided to go with something a bit more casual that I know I’ll get more wear out of. I would also choose a different color if I were to reorder, as the light pink didn’t work well with my very fair skin tone—but it is gorgeous in person. Overall, it’s a beautiful dress with a great fit; it just wasn’t quite right for my needs. For reference I normally wear a size XL shirt and size 14W in dresses and 14-16W in pants, I purchased this in size 16W as it was the smallest size and it fit just right. ... show more

I need cool summer dresses for church with no air conditioning. As pastor, I have specific needs: it must be comfortable and cool and modest, and pockets are essential for the microphone transmitter. This dress meets all of those with one very strange challenge: where the fabric "wraps" at the bodice, there is a single stitch holding the two pieces together at the bust, but the fabric below that is loose and gaps weirdly. Fortunately I can sew and am able to tack that down so that it won't gape open and give the congregation a peep show. But I shouldn't have to do that - it should be constructed so that there is no gap, especially at the chest. The color is actually a dark lavender, and the flower print is a little odd. My husband thinks it is dowdy and old-fashioned, but it is otherwise a flattering fit. I love the high-low skirt: it gives me good coverage and makes sure that my backside is fully covered, even if I bend over to talk to the children, and the shorter skirt in front means I won't trip when going up and down the steps. ... show more

The fabric this dress is made of is beautiful. Light and airy, perfect for a summer wedding in VA. I ordered the purple and blue pattern, it is beautiful! Busy without being overwhelming and in your face, very complimentary to my figure. I've lost 94 pounds in 20 months so trying to figure out what size I wear has been tricky. I typically order by bust size. Got the 18 and it is perfect (for context I wear a 42DDD bra, I'm 5'5" and 226 lbs - as of this morning.) The "belt" even has a little bit of stretch to it so your not going to cut you guts off if you tighten it too much when you sit down. Probably my favorite dress that I've ordered for the wedding. I think there's been 10 so far.... I have already sent 6 others back. Im definitely keeping this one! ... show more

    • Cute dress but falls short

This dress looks absolutely stunning on the models in the photos that are about my size/shape- courtesy of the way Amazon can now do that. But in reality, the dress didn’t fall like that on me at all. Iy also didn’t look at all on me the way it looked in actual photos by customers that have similar build to me. It looked frumpy- and I rarely find that any item I try on looks frumpy- I’m pretty easy to please in that regard. The positives- the fabric is silky soft and flows nicely. It feels almost like pretty pajama fabric. The pattern- a periwinkle purple with little daisies- is beautiful. The sleeves flutter down nicely- a just right length halfway down the arm. The shirt part (under waistcoat waist) falls nicely and is flattering. The negatives: it’s cut way too low for just about anyone- why do companies do that? This warrants either a sleezy look or needing a camisole or tank underneath. A little design tweak and it could be a beautiful v neck shape. Next- the waist is very high, so that it pretty much comes right under the bust line. I do not have a long torso- I’m only 5’4” tall. Granted- I do wear a size 40D or 40DD bra- so that may be taking too much upper dress real estate. The result is the dress pops out my bustling in an unflattering way, making it look like my bust is spilling over sloppily onto the rest of the dress. Plus- the elastic in the waist is too tight. It fits without stretching but the tightness makes it itchy and scratchy. I ordered a similar dress that had reviews that weren’t as good as this one- and it did look amazing and fell just right. Go figure. This dress could be stunning on the right person- meaning if you have a smaller bust so that the waist isn’t pulled up and cinched right under your bust line. I also think a petite frame would be head in this dress- or a person with a super short length from shoulders to waistline. For reference I am 5’4”, 192 pounds and typically wear a size 16W, 18 or 18W. I wear petite pants but regular tops. I got this dress in 16W- a larger size would not have looked better. ... show more

This exceeded my expectations. Good fit, wrinkles came out in the dryer easily and it looks cute. I read another review that said to size up so I did. I normally wear a 20-22 but ordered in a 24 and it fit perfectly. It was comfortable and the pockets are great. I was looking for a dress for my birthday, and I was so happy with this choice. Not only did it fit true to size, but it also looked amazing on my figure. I’m not very slim, and this dress beautifully smooths and flatters the body, hiding imperfections instead of emphasizing them. The fabric feels light and airy, doesn’t wrinkle, and this is exactly the kind of dress you want to wear again and again. Pretty dress. Print quality was beautiful. Material was thinner, great as a summer dress. Very flowy. Size fit well. I did return this item though, the cut was just not complimentary on my body shape- def not the dress' fault.
