UPDATE: I've had these shoes for a little over a year, and the stitching has started to come undone on the side. However, it is easily repairable, and the rest of the shoe is in great condition; so, I still highly recommend them! ORIGINAL POST: First, I'll say that I absolutely love these shoes! As my husband and I were planning our honeymoon in Hawaii, we knew that we were going to need some good water shoes. I'm more of a sandal girl myself; so, I ordered both the Whispers and the Newport H2s, and here's what I found... The Whispers ran truer to size than the Newports. I order my regular size in the Whispers, which fit perfectly, but I needed about a full size bigger on the Newports. (Not a deal breaker, but just something to note.) The Whispers have a significantly nicer feel to them, but they do run a bit narrow; so, if you have wider feet, you likely want to go with the Newports, regardless of size. However, while the Newports are wider and are definitely a more rugged shoe with a bigger toe bumper, that also makes them a bit heavier and they tend to clomp a bit more. Depending on how you're looking to use them, this might be what you need, but for me just walking and hiking around Hawaii, the Whispers did just fine. I will note that on the beaches, especially the pebbly ones, the sand did get stuck in the Whispers a bit, but my guess is that would've happened even more with the Newports as the latter have the bigger toe bumper where sand likely would've gotten stuck. As far as arch support, the Whispers have good support, but the Newports definitely had a better insole. However, it also made the Newports a bit tighter on the top, almost like they didn't fully account for the arch, which wasn't unbearable, but again, something to note when choosing what size to order. For me, the arch support was still more than sufficient in the Whispers, and my feet never felt too tired walking around in them for hours. I've also heard comments that the back of the straps on Keens get stretched out after time; so, I also liked that the Whispers were reinforced with ribbon around the back too. It also added a cute accent to the design, making them not only a good water sandal, but also a cute all-around nice shoe. They were so comfortable that I ended up wearing them even when I knew we weren't going to be getting our feet wet. So, after walking around the house in them for about 1-2 days each, I ultimately went with the Whispers, and I'm very glad that I did. The fit was comfortable, they weren't too bulky, and they did exactly what I wanted them to do, which was mainly protect my feet as we explored rainforests, beaches, and other fun sites. I'll try to give an update once I've had them a bit longer, but after two weeks of wearing these almost exclusively in Hawaii, I can say that I'm very happy with them and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Loved the look and feel of this product. Rubbed on one of my ankles the first day that I wore it (about an hour, walking on concrete), but this lessened as I broke them in. These definitely feel great when walking on trails! I've always loved keens, and am excited to have a new pair of sandals in my collection. They fit true to size.

I've been a Keen lover/wearer for a long time and truly love this brand, but I think my Whispers may be my favorite pair yet. I bought this as an "upgrade" from my Newport H2s and these are SO much better. I love that the neoprene stretches in the bit around your ankle - this made them wearable right out of the box with no break-in period and ZERO blisters. They are ridiculously light weight - much lighter than my Newports - but really sturdy and durable. I wore them on a recent trip to Costa Rica and they were the perfect shoe for all of the wet/dry activities I did, like white-water river rafting, light hiking, swimming, rappelling, sailing, walking around town, etc. They dry quickly and don't get stinky (but if they did you can throw them in the washing machine with your laundry). I'll also note that I have arthritis in my feet - specifically my big toe joint - and these were always comfy and supportive. I could keep going with no pain, which was awesome. If my feet swelled, it was easy to loosen up the lacing system. On top of all that, I got complements on them - they're pretty cute. These are more narrow and girly than the Newports. I love them so much I bought a second pair. I highly recommend these - they're great for adventures and anytime you might get your feet wet - they're also really comfortable and a great all-around sandal for warm weather. For me they run pretty true to size (I wear a 6 1/2 in other shoes and these), but I know that a lot of people like to get them a 1/2 size bigger.

Unbelievably rugge sole and comfort tech brings it to a whole new level! They last years because I pay the extra $ compared to cheaper ones bc they can last you 3-4 years depending on how much you use the and the terrain but it sucks to your feet perfectly and when walking in them fells like your walking without anything on your feet! DOUBLE CHECK the colors because I ordered the navy and even on pictures I saw they were blue but when I received them they had navy blue with ugly old looking flowers on sides of blue straps so I’m probably going to return them for a different pair I actually love although these were still strong ease of use the sole is crazy tough and sole is so comfy it’s with the $79-$200 pair!! Even if you buy the most expensive pair think of how little ng they last 2-4 or longer depending how much they get used hiking or swimming or bad areas I forgot to say they are waterproof with canals they made in sole and rubber to drain the water to help dry them faster! Very well made!

Fits great. Lightweight and flexible yet supportive. I typically wear a women's US8/EU38. The Keen size chart on the brand's website lists US7.5 as equivalent to EU38, so I want with that and it's perfect. (I've found that EU shoe sizing is almost always way more accurate than US sizing across all brands.) The loop in back makes these easy to put on. Digs a tiny bit into my outer ankle bones, but these typically soften up with time. I'll wear socks for the first couple weeks to help break in the stiff parts.

I have to wear closed toe shoes at work, and these sandles give me air flow with the closed toe. They are comfortable and can be worn with just about anything. This is my second pair. I have red ones, too.
