I was familiar with the KEEN brand from a pair of hiking shoes I bought years ago during an unexpected snowstorm in Colorado that have served me well for years and a couple more vacations in warmth, durability and fit. Still, I had my doubts because house shoes in general are just rubbish Christmas gifts that last 4 months at best if they’re actually ever worn at all. These are ideal, especially if you’re one who has to step outside in the cold and get the paper or shovel the drive or shoot coyotes or foxes that are after your chicken coop or whatever reason people venture outside in their house shoes when it’s clearly too cold to do so. Warmth, coziness and support of a hiking boot with the casually snug attractiveness of house shoes. I doubt they’re very waterproof (untested as yet), so get back inside quickly once you’re sure your chickens are safe. ... show more

Honestly I was a little put off at the start. The way the heel barely cups your actual heel felt strange, and the shoe looked a bit odd. Now I wear them every day. I think an engineer designed these, because they are functional, durable, the soles are bulletproof, and the fuzzy interior is comfortable like a floppy slipper. Just a superbly thought out design. Turns out the heel thing was so you can effortlessly slip into them (no hands) yet they secure to your foot just enough to not fly off the handle. ... show more

I have planters fasciitis and these feel great!! They fit almost exactly like the Keen Newport Sandals. Nice wide footbed, heel sits nicely. Fair amount of arch support, not too much, not flat either. I wear 9.5 and like a snug fit. If you prefer thicker socks I’d think about going a 1/2 size up. The only complaint I have is how low the heel part is. Need to out some moleskin or something on them before I wear a hole in them like I’ve seen on other reviews. ... show more

The KEEN Men's Howser III Slip-Ons are hands down my favorite indoor shoes. They’re incredibly comfortable, warm, and easy to slip on and off—perfect for wearing around the house every day. The soles have great grip, so I can step outside briefly without worrying about slipping, and they still feel soft enough for indoor use. The fit is just right—snug but not tight—and they’ve held up really well over time. These slippers are amazing. I had no idea Keen even made slippers before I bought them. Great support, and I especially love the pull-thing on the top that lets me adjust the tightness so they're perfect with or without socks. Extremely comfortable and easy to slip on. I usually wear Birkenstocks as my house slipper, but wanted something that provides a little more warmth and coverage in the winter days when I slip outside to help the dogs or get the mail. These are perfect. They have a waterproof base that is solid and doesn't track dirt. Plus, they make almost no noise and leave no scuffs on the wood floors. I got a size that was exactly my shoe size. The slipper is just a little bit smaller than a standard shoe size, but I like the feel and stability. The back is easy to slip on and the shoe is secure enough for a quick run after a wayward dog. The arch support is zero. But, I put in a pair of Superfeet supports and that helped.
