First of all, the Company representatives are very helpful and communicative. I had some questions before purchase and they were answereed quickly. It was the tipping point for buying this unit. After purchase, I had some questions and feedback on the configuration and operation. Again, very fast response and very friendly on top of that. If you are looking at this type of tool, you know there are quite a few brands out there that have the same configuration, they may even be clones. KaKa Industrial has not only an excellent price point, but very helpful customer service. The tool itself was well packed. Some of the small hardware was a little loose in the box, but the unit arrived in perfect shape. It was well adjusted too. The unit is covered in cosmoline (protective coating) but is nearly ready to use after cleaning, installing the handle, and mounting to a bench. It works very well. I have been using it to make aluminum sheet parts for my 1/10 scale RC Car collection. After a month of use, I am very happy with the product. This may be a legacy tool as it is well made and will last a long time. If you want or need a tool of this size and type, KaKa is a great choice of vendors. Price, quality, communication are all excellent. One of the best purchases of tools I have made.

I first gave this a poor review but when I mounted it to the workbench I realized it was out of alignment. After adjusting it I can rewrite my review as follows: Over the years working in different educational settings teaching jewelry/metals, I've used many of these shear/brakes that cost 4 times what this one sells for. I am on a tight budget teaching art, including jewelry/metals at a high school so when I saw this one I ordered it. To be honest, I didn't expect too much for $169, but have been pleasantly surprised. It bends (brakes) very well--accurate and shears the metal as advertised. It's limited to soft metals like sterling silver, copper and aluminum. It is limited to very thin metal-- 20 gauge and under but so are the expensive ones. It is a good shear to use in a school because students tend to push equipment beyond the limits because if it gets damaged I would rather have spent $169 than $1000 on one.

Nice little shear. I won’t use the brake on this tool but it appears to be good as well. Blades cut 18g aluminum with ease and leaves a nice clean edge. Came packaged well with lots of protective oil to inhibit rust. No blade adjustments needed on mine, ready to cut after quick assembly.

This is the second time I've ordered from kaka individual and the pricing is good, the company is easy to deal with and very responsive, and they don't waste any time getting stuff shipped out. Think I ordered this around three o'clock and it was on the truck shipped before five. Overall well pleased.

I bought this unit from Kaka and followed directions for setup exactly as written. When assembled the two inch die falls out of place and will not stay in place. One of the reasons I bought this unit from Kaka because from what I read the company had good customer service. In fact I have reached out to Kaka twice explaining the issue. Kaka consumer service (in my case) has been add continues to be nonexistent.

We are only using the cutoff feature, and it works well. We are using it to trim .075” carbon steel, which i am sure exceeds its rating, but no problems. I am sure it would handle sheet metal very easily. The handle can be adjusted if you need more leverage, and we actually extended ours by one foot with a long pipe placed over the handle. This is a very heavy, well made piece of equipment. (weighs over 300 lbs) Be sure you have a strong table to mount it on. Overall, we are happy with it!

The roller adjusters were both bent. It appeared the machine had been tip over at some point, bending both adjusters. The rest of the machine is fine. I emailed them about the issue and they said they would send new adjusters and that was fine with me. It been 29 days. Nothing yet.
