Features
- Nordic Craft Expression: Hans-Christian Bauer designed the Hammershoi series as a tribute to Svend Hammershoi, whose work in Kahler's workshop from 1893 became a defining mark of Danish ceramics. The salad serving set extends that line into FSC-certified oiled oak, bringing a warm natural material alongside the porcelain pieces in the range.
- Two Oak Servers: The set includes a slotted fork for lifting and a deep-bowled spoon for scooping, each carved from oiled oak with a long, tapered handle. The Kahler monogram is pressed lightly into each handle, and the natural grain gives every pair its own variation in tone and colour.
- Grain Worth Protecting: Each server measures 10.6 inches long and 2.6 inches wide, a generous length that gives good reach into a large bowl. The oiled oak is not dishwasher safe; hand wash gently and dry promptly after each use to keep the surface looking its best.
- Three Natural Materials: At the table, the warm grain of the oak reads differently against the clean white porcelain of the Hammershoi plates and bowls, and alongside the glass vases in the range, it creates a meeting of wood, ceramic, and glass that feels deliberate rather than assembled.
- Set To Give: Arrives in Kahler's branded gift packaging, making the servers a natural choice for a wedding, housewarming, or dinner party host. The Hammershoi range spans porcelain plates, mugs, bowls, and glass vases, and the oak servers are the one piece in the range that steps entirely outside ceramics.
Description
This exclusive set of salad servers in durable oak matches perfectly with the elegant ceramics in Nordic colors. When combined on a well-set table, an exciting meeting of three natural materials in the Hammershøi series, oak, glass and ceramics is created.
