No it doesn't taste exactly like coffee but I think it tastes fantastic. I love this drink and have it daily for my warm morning beverage or afternoon break. A little goes a long ways and I usually put less than a teaspoon with 12oz of hot water. Or go the latte route and use half hot water and half milk. ... show more

    • Really good, just depends on expectations...
I tried Kaffree Roma with an open mind, knowing ahead of time that it would not taste exactly like coffee. The first time I tried it, I tried drinking it at the same temp as I drink coffee, really hot but not boiling. I was not impressed. I then let it cool a bit more, and found it tastes really good, but at least for me, letting it cool just a bit more before drinking gets the best taste. I like coffee, but have been getting more gut issues with it the last year, so have been trying to vary my hot drinks. I drink various brands of Yerba Mate loose leaf tea when I want caffeine, and Kaffree Roma when I want something coffee like but caffeine free. I also enjoy many decaf "herbal" teas such as Rooibos varieties. The taste Kaffree Roma reminds me of Grape Nuts cereal (in a good way). The ingredients are similar. If you like Grape Nuts, and you like coffee, you will most likely like the taste of Kaffree Roma. I have not tried similar products such as Cafix, Pero, Inka, and Caro, so can not do a direct comparison. I do like the crystals though, and think it would be less messy then some of the products I listed that are powdered form. But to each his/her own. Also, at least at the time I am writing this, Kaffree Roma is the only product of the ones I listed that is available for Amazon's "Subscribe and Save". The main reason I choose it first to try. The container it comes in is nice and sturdy. I only mention this as I know some who have reviewed "Inka" have complained about the container not being strong. ... show more

This product is the best coffee replacement I have found. Not grainy. doesn't have a weird taste or smell. Used with a flavored coffee creamer it works well.

    • Flavor and quality
I like that the Kaffee Roma provides the taste of coffee without the caffeine and side effects. I am an avid coffee drinker and currently cannot drink it, this product was recommended so I figured I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how much it taste like real coffee.
