There are a couple of things I did not like about this shoe right out of the box. First, the little strap across the top could afford to be a bit better quality wise. It serves no real purpose other than aesthetic, but the look of it adds a clunky feel. It feels almost like an afterthought addition. Perhaps it would be more attractive if it were a little thinner. The strap also makes it a little difficult to simply slide the shoe on, and I have narrow feet. Second, they are not comfortable. I felt like my foot was sliding a bit more in these shoes than other mules I won. At that price, I definitely expected more. If you are willing to purchase, you should order a size up.

These are gorgeous in person. That said, the metal bar hurt and the toe box was too tight for me. Also, I got my normal shoe size and my heel was all the way at the edge in the back.

This is a cute pair of mules. The maroon with gold accent will be really cute this fall. The shoes fit true to size and are pretty comfortable.

These unique Helena Pierced Mules by JW PEI are high quality, somewhat comfortable…walking “heel to toe” is awkward due to lots of space in the toe box…for me, it’s actually 2-3/8” from the tip of my big toe to the tip of the shoes. Plus, it’s a bit inflexible and will not bend properly for a “normal” walking gait. Makes you want to walk in a “slew-foot”/duck-feet manner. They are constructed very well…stitched perfectly and sturdy. I love the odd, but unique design. They fit according to the size chart. The style is flat-foot friendly due to the elastic sides on the gold-tone band, so there’s no gapping. The width is standard/medium and are not made to accommodate those who wear wide widths. But, they will fit different on those who have narrow feet because their feet will extend more into the pointy toe box. These unique beauties can be compared to premium brands in style, quality and craftsmanship. But I feel that these would have a better fit, impact and more of an elevated look, if the heel was double in height. Interesting find and design!
