  • Actually tastes like water from a stream and there is no plastic.
I think the name says it all, it’s “JUST Water” in a can (not a plastic bottle). While it may be water, it isn’t like many filtered and bottled water, even the ones that claim to be spring water, this one actually does taste like spring water. What I mean by that is the water tastes like it has some minerals in it and the pH is slightly basic, which gives a smoother mouth feel. So for once, when it says spring water on the label, I actually think of spring water when I drink it (and not because I just read the label, but it actually has that sort of taste to it). The water comes in aluminum bottles with an aluminum screw on cap. This is nice as aluminum is considered to be more recyclable the plastic and glass. It is a nice sturdy bottle and can be refilled/reused (I know plenty of people that forget to pack a water bottle on travel, so they buy a water bottle at a shop/store and then reuse the bottle throughout the trip). As far as the container goes, I really only noticed one issue and that is the lid is a bit difficult to screw on and off (seems a little tight, doesn’t spin smoothly, and seems like it would rather cross thread than go on properly). Even though the surface is panted, it still seems a bit more rough than I would expect (but it beats putting a plastic lid on an aluminum bottle and sort of ruining the point of choosing aluminum to begin with). To carry on the theme of no plastic, the cans of water come in a cardboard box (not the typical cardboard flat wrapped in plastic). This is a nice choice that shows their commitment to not use plastic and focus on more recyclable materials. So what else is there to say? Well, not really anything. It’s water, it tastes good, it comes in a more recyclable container and can be reused if desired. The only downside is that this can be argued to be rather expensive for being just water, but I don’t think it is a ridiculous price. I’m not super picky about my water as I’ve been known to drink from a garden hose, but I’ve also had some nice fresh spring water while camping and this reminds me more of the latter. ... show more

  • Water
What can I say, this tastes like water. I did like that it didn’t have that plastic filtered water bottle taste to it that most water bottles have. The bottle is made out of metal and it didn’t cause the water to have a metallic taste to it. Just be careful opening the lid, I hake cut myself a couple times when doing so. ... show more

  • Good tasting water
I really liked these bottles and recently took them on a long distance rode trip in the car. I liked how I could get the water nice and cold, and the temperature seemed to stay cool a little longer than the conventional plastic bottles. The water tastes great, no weird taste at all. I also liked the cap feature, and the 16 oz size, which is a little bigger than many plastic bottles. The cap is a little difficult to screw back on, and if you don't get it perfectly right, the bottle will leak. I subtracted some stars for that, since I found out the hard way that the cap doesn't easily seal tightly, causing messes. Also these seem a little pricey compared to other bottled water, but you might find that spending the extra money is worth it because of the advantages. ... show more

  • Reuse & Recycle!
I love that the packaging is recyclable. These bottles are strong and can be reused and refilled without any issues. The cap doesn't always thread smoothly, but the water is tasty and has no funky aftertaste. The water gets pretty cold in the aluminum bottle. I much prefer having an option other than plastic when purchasing water on the go. I am happy with this product. ... show more

  • Cap doesnt go back on well
The water taste fine and its a nice sleek design. however once you open it its almost impossible to close the top back on it. The top bends when opening and will not seal properly so you must make sure you drink it all then or are careful not to spill it. While doing sports or outdoor work with bugs and even driving off road in the jeep you can get mud in your cup . Not use to a bottle of water that doesnt have a top you can put back on it. If i had to choose id take one with a reclosable top ... show more

  • Literally just water
This is literally just water. It doesn’t taste like anything special, though it’s somewhat convenient. The bottles dent easily, but they don’t have a sharp lip so you can drink directly from them. The lids aren’t easily reattachable, so I think the main draw is that these are recyclable (not reusable). ... show more

  • Water on a Mission it's Just Water : )
It's "Just Water" I really like the idea of returning to a better way to bottle water other than the plastic bottles. This company is doing that. It is just water, but I can say that there is a slight taste to it that I can say only those who have eaten from a snowball in the north will relate to... it truly did have that slight taste that reminded me of eating snow. Perhaps it was my imagination? I am a fan of better packaging ideas for water and these bottles appealed to me. I plan to store these in a cool dry place for emergency water. The bottles are sturdy and feel like they will hold up over time. I would like to see the company design a more reusable screw on cap. I was able to re-fill my bottle and put the cap back on, but the cap did not go on smoothly. I had to press down and try to find the sweet spot to get the cap to screw back on securely. That's a knock on the bottle being reusable, so it takes away from the main reason I could think of to justify the high price point. It's water, it tastes great, will store well. Hard to re-seal bottle makes it difficult to re-use and it's very expensive for water. if re-use and cost are not factors for you, you will love it! ... show more
