They came with the pull tabs in them so they didn't roar till those where pulled. ( which helps with wrapping not having a shifting noisy toy. ) the head moving makes them roar. I got several different roaring dinos for the kids. Ages 4 to 11. The tails had to be attached. So some assembly required. But it was not a problem for the bigger kids. They seem to survive active play (beating two dinosaurs together). Herbavoirs mouths don't move. Apparently all the dino toys got together and said lets have the carnivores bite everything but not the herbavoirs. Not sure what that's about. So if ypu like noisy roaring (generic roars not like the movies) then this is up your alley. ... show more

This is a really cool dinosaur. Well made and seems durable, but in the pictures they make it look like it's about a foot long and in reality, it's about 10 inches, which is not that big. I did read the description, but in my minds eye, I was expecting it to be a little larger.
