This figure is HUGE, it looks awesome with its rugged spikey and scaley details and the gobbling up mechanic adds a fun way to engage playing with it. Definitely an action figure worthy to put a smile on any fans face... The obvious first thing I noticed was the sheer size of the Figure, I wasn't expecting it to be this big. Assembly wasn't too hard just have to attach the tail and legs to the body and you're good to go. The figure is nearly 100% made of hard plastic, with very few parts made of softer material, but the teeth are made of soft vinyl. Some parts of the figure do articulate (move) some more than others. The arms and hands being the most movable, they are able to spin around freely with no limit. The tail does pivot freely, but only at it's base, the rest of the tail, except the tip, is stiff. The legs have different limits of movement in each leg. The head doesn't really move too much, same goes for the feet. Obviously, the mouth opens and closes, which gives the toy its primary way to play with. The whole gobbling up smaller dinos/toys is pretty fun, especially for this Allosaurus being a large predatory dinosaur. The trap door to empty the figure is at its belly and is easily accessible to empty whatever is inside. Which this play mechanic can also be a nifty way to store smaller figures/toys as well. The only downside I can see, is that the Allosaurus Figure doesn't come with the Mini-Dino Figures that are shown on the box and/or product page. It really bogs down its unique play mechanic of gobbling up smaller dinos, ESPECIALLY when you consider the price you're paying for it. Displaying it might be a bit of an issue, due to its sheer size and finicky balancing... but that most likely won't be an issue or a thought for children who just want to play with toy. Overall, the sheer size of the action figure alone is enough to put a smile on any child's face, especially one that likes dinosaurs. It might not be the popular T-Rex or the larger (and lesser known) Giganotosaurus, the Allosaurus is still pretty awesome looking larger predator. Definitely is a worthy gift to any child and/or fan of the Jurassic Park/World Series, both young and old.

My 4 year old is on a big dino kick, I always love dinosaurs so when I saw this big guy I thought "why not?" He was on a great sale price (50% OFF!) I figured he'd be cool, but I had no idea he'd be this amazing. Yes, he's HUGE, but fortunately he's also really well made ! There's no sound, not much movement, but you don't need that when he is this big and this cool. He articulates, just not alot, but enough to prop him up and just play and have fun ! The coloring is great, teeth are softer than the rest of the body, slightly rubber feel, which is good because your kid will probably be sticking a bunch of little dinosaurs or toys in that big mouth, which is fine because you can so easily pip open the bottom and everything drops out ! If the TRex ever goes on sale I'm grabbing him for myself! So fun & easy to play with, maybe a little awkward, but honestly ? You won't even notice while you're playing with your kid, or hey, by yourself is fine too. Dinosaur toys have no age limit ! Enjoy !

A friend had the tyrannosaurus version of this and when I went to look it up, this version was on sale for $34 and I couldn't say no. Two things that are annoying: 1) it doesn't stand up easily and falls over whenever touched. It has joints that can be turned around at the ankles, wrists, and tail as well as the legs and arms, which would theoretically make it a lot more fun to play with, but in reality, it means that the moment any of them are adjusted (whether on purpose or just by shifting when opening its mouth), it falls over. Whenever she plays with this, 90% of the time it's her asking me to stand it back up for her. The weight isn't proportioned well, so it's never a simple fix. I have to readjust every joint to get it to stand, and once she touches it, it falls over again. The only work around I have for this is to prop it up against the couch or table. 2) it doesn't come with the tiny dinosaurs. Yes, I realize now in tiny print they have it written on the one picture, but it shows them on the box, which is very misleading at a glance. We have a gazillion tiny dinosaurs, but I bought this as a birthday gift that she'd open out of town at the beach thinking it'd be perfect since it was all in one and I wouldn't have to pack/keep track of anything extra. Boy was she disappointed when we realized she'd have nothing to feed it. So, I had to track down a place to buy even more tiny dinosaurs, which we didn't need. I understand this was my fault, but I'm just writing it here in case someone just looks at the pictures of the box like I did. I'd personally give this 2 stars but since she still loves it, it gets 4.

Oh my goodness! This thing is more than I could have ever imagined and we haven’t even opened it yet! First off I found it on a steal deal before Black Friday for $29 I about flipped couldn’t check out fast enough. Shipping took longer than usual due to my order form being lost in the mix of all the Black Friday rush, but I was able to get ahold of Amazon customer service and have it taken care of and they were amazing to find the issue and resolve it. They finally shipped it within 24hrs after contacting them. My 2.5 year old is Jurassic obsessed, he seen this in the catalog that came out and wouldn’t leave it alone! So excited to see his face Christmas morning when he opens this as one of his many dinosaur gifts 🩵 if your hesitant please don’t be this is amazing quality I can tell as any other Mattel toy. Would I pay $80 for it not on sale, eh possibly still would. But these times we are in now days, and a new baby on the way something like this I’d most definitely watch it to go on a sale!
