Description

By using downward pressure and a rocking motion, this tool breaks up garlic cloves quickly and easily, forcing the pieces up through the mesh of holes in its base. The crushed pieces are then held in the curved design, allowing them to be spooned or scraped conveniently into a pan or bowl. Additional cloves can also be crushed at this stage before emptying. Rocker is easy to clean under running water but is also Dishwasher safe. Available in a range of colors or in a brushed metal finish. Dishwasher safe.

I love how easy this is. My regular garlic press works but is a pain to clean. I always had to scrape it as best I could to get out the bits of smashed garlic before I put it in the dishwasher. I was a little worried as I read one review that said this garlic rocker didn't work. It worked perfectly for me. I've used it twice so far and it was simple. It got the entire garlic bulb. The size of the pieces are a bit larger than the garlic press but that didn't matter to me. Probably closer to what you would get if you minced it by hand but so fast. Also easy to clean. I haven't even needed to put it in the dishwasher, which is great because now it is ready when I need it. I don't have to go looking for it in the dishwasher if I need it before I run a dish cycle. The only way I can imagine it not working is if you don't rock it as you press down. Maybe it wouldn't work as well if you just pressed straight down, but that is not the way it is intended to be used, or maybe if your garlic was really old and rubbery. I was so excited about this, but it just doesn't work as well as I had hoped. It isn't sharp at all so you practically have to stand on it to get it to work, the garlic is cut in large pieces and there's always a perforated piece stuck to the bottom. Plus it's a bear to clean. When it does eventually snap in two I'll be looking for a different design. *UPDATE* After about a year of use, it did snap in half. ... show more

    • Love This Garlic Crusher!
I'm in love with this garlic crusher! It's not super fancy, but it gets the job done in a pinch and keeps my hands from smelling like garlic throughout the day. This tool is easier to clean then a typical, one-handed garlic crusher is. It comes with a little brush to help get into the holes, too. The only downside is that if you're handling a larger garlic clove it might have trouble. I've had to cut a few in half before I could get them to crush.     • Best Ever! One little thing...
I purchased this in 2013. Once this arrived, I tossed out all of the others. This works perfectly. To wash, I run it under the faucet to get out whatever sticks, then toss in dishwasher. Today is a sad day tho. It broke. When I pushed down on the plastic it broke in half. Had it been metal, this puppy would live forever! Anyway 6 years is a good run for a $10 gadget.     • Not works well for Asia garlic
In our country we use fresh garlic, not freeze ones, so it is hard to smash the garlic. Must press a lot and i'm afraid the plastic will not last long. It can be broken in two when push too much. The design is good, the quality of plastic is very nice. It's also a good design from Joseph Joseph

It's simple, efficient, easy to clean, small, and cheap. Best garlic mincer I've ever seen, by far! No sharp blades, no squeezing, no small parts, all 1 piece--great for fingers that aren't as nimble as they used to be. Great for weaker hands, great for kids. Takes up little space in drawer. I got the icky-colored green one for only $6 (the prettier ones cost more). All of those gimick-y, complicated garlic mincers with moving parts/multiple pieces are a joke compared to this little tool that does a superior job. ... show more

A waste of money; the garlic cloves were peeled according to instructions but it was SO DIFFICULT to press down on it AND difficult to get the crushed garlic off the metal. What a piece of gimmicky junk.
