We’ve had this product for easily 6 years now and it still works perfectly for removing food from most utensils. I first purchased it when we did not have a dishwasher hoping to make our lives easier by being able to wash tricky utensils like tongs, knives and to speed up hand washing silverware. This brush does all of that. the bristles are firm enough to remove stuck on food but not too firm that they scratch or damage utensils. More recently we’ve moved into a home with a dishwasher and I was honestly a little sad thinking that this tool would become obsolete in our lives but I have continued using it time and time again, mostly for handwashing knives. Sure, you can use a sponge or other more traditional brush to wash your knives but the ease that this product provides is worth every penny and helps me feel safer because it’s much less likely I’ll accidentally slice my finger when using it. I’m going to buy one of these for each of my friends and family this next holiday season, or for any housewarming parties or wedding presents. It really is such a useful tool and I can imagine it is a bit more accessible for someone with decreased motor function or eyesight to use as well. 10/10.

I like this much better than using one of my scrubbies or sponges with my knives. Granted, I'm careful and never cut anything, but it's so much easier to just use this and not have to be careful. Works well so far on the various knives I've used since purchasing. Handle is easy to hold when your hands are wet, and definitely keeps your fingers safe.

"O, manual dishwashing! You suck. You make it extremely precarious to get sharp knives squeaky clean, as they are constantly slicing into my dish rags and fingers, regardless of how careful I am. It's just way too risky to scrub away at their sharp blades, and I am left praying that they are clean enough to use once more without the risk of being stricken with Salmonella or E coli. O, manual dishwashing! Why must you hurt me so? But, wait! What do my eyes behold? This odd little tool that favors the Wind-Up Chattering Teeth toys from the days of my childhood. Will you, Chattering Teeth BladeBrush, help me on my quest for easy breezy, thorough knife cleansing? Will you protect me, and my poor dish rags, from the constant threat of their slicing blades? Let us see if you will do as promised, little BladeBrush. Let us put thee to the test! Now in my slice-less hands do I hold, an amazingly clean knife, all shiny and bright! I don't have to worry about how effectively I've sanitized them, or about shredding my rags and fingers. Obviously, you must always use caution when handling ANY sharp object. This little guy takes a ton of the guess work out of it, though. A quick rinse under the water to wet the bristles, a drop of dishwashing liquid, and 90 seconds of easy scrubbing. That's all it takes to make every knife in my butcher's block fresh as a daisy. The plastic bristles are effective but gentle, so there's never any scratches and wear on the blades. They truly sparkle when I'm done, and all thanks to this awesome product. Thirty seconds under the running water, to make sure the dish soap and grime are rinsed completely, and I'm done. I sit it on its side to allow for complete water drainage during drying. No mildew, no smell, no slime. It's awesome!!! BUY IT TODAY!!!!

This brush is just what you need to clean silverware before either putting in the dishwasher or washing by hand. The opposable bristles clean both sides of the silverware at the same time and gets all the stuck on things off. You get the silverware cleaned off in half the time. The brush looks like a set of wierd dentures, but the bristles are soft enough to handle the largest spoon you have but sturdy enough to last awhile. The whole brush is small enough to fit in one hand and the outside is slightly roughened so you can hang onto it easily. I think it is even kind of fun to use.
