The Undercover x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Bright Citron” is another chapter in the three-way collaboration between Jun Takahashi’s streetwear brand, Chitose Abe’s high fashion outfit, and Nike on the retro-infused shoe. The LDWaffle, which debuted in 2019 when Sacai and Nike created the look, combines Nike’s old school Waffle Racer running styles from the 1970s into one silhouette. In 2021, Sacai and Nike recruited Undercover into the fray to elaborate even further on the popular shoe. The “Bright Citron” features a black nylon base. A grey suede Swoosh and Bright Citron leather Swoosh are layered over one another on the sides. The look is consistent with the original design of Sacai and Nike’s LDWaffle. The “doubled” ethos continues with two sets of laces, dual tongues, and overlapping panels on the toe and heel. Dual Sacai and Nike detailing is printed on the back. Additionally, a stacked cream-colored foam midsole cuts a progressive stance. Release date: October 29, 2021
