I bought these shoes for my nephew. He saw them at a department store and just loved them. We checked the price at two other well known department stores and we found this just a little cheaper on Amazon and I was able to get them delivered in 2 days (just in time for our trip). The shoes fit perfectly and my nephew was able to wear the shoes 3-4 hours without any complaint. My nephew also has flat feet and he was bale to wear these with his arch plate. We are extremely satisfied with everything about these shoes.

They FEEL Very Comfortable and are light on the feet! No REQUIRED breaking in of leather; the inner cushion is very comfortable, the calf leather is absolutely smooth and soft to the touch. These handsomely well made shoes comes with a pair each of brown and white cord laces!!! Great summer look and add swagger to your stylish warerobe!

Well built, sharp looking shoes. The fit is true to size and they break in quickly. I love the bold sound they make while I walk, I'm sure you will too if you decide to buy them. Great value and worthy of 5 stars.

The shoes are stylish & feel very comfortable. I ordered these (the last pair in my size) for considerably less than all the other colors offered ($35 less) & found that the shoes had multiple small dark discolorations around the laces & toe area. Call me a cynic, but I have a feeling this is why these shoes were discounted so much more than the others, though I suppose it's possible that they were discounted by the seller for some other reason. These discolorations were not from wear (the shoes were 100% brand new & unworn when I got them) but appeared to be related to the dye process during manufacturing. I considered sending them back but decided to keep them since I was probably going to scuff up the shoes eventually. It's not a huge deal but I was disappointed that my shoes had these noticeable imperfections.

Very good shoe that would have worked out just fine for me if...I had size 11D feet. Based on other reviews that suggested these "definitely" run a half size too large, I ordered 11D. I am disappointed to discover that they are very, very snug. Because I wear 11.5 comfortably and because I haven't bought Johnston & Murphy in a while, I would have expected these to be OK. Of course, shoes aren't always exactly the same size from one pair to another. Having said that, I am led to believe that the sizing is "as expected" rather than "somewhat large." In terms of style and finish, I was a bit disappointed that they looked a bit on the "unusual/cheap" side with dark (almost black) dots in some of the perforations but workmanship and seams looked otherwise fine and sufficient.
