I like the show. It is light and comfortable but find that there is only the foot pad protecting the shoe from underneath. Having an open, ventilated show needs to have a virtual hole at the arch area? I probably will return for just that "feature". I don't see this shoe holding up.

Bought these to wear to work. I have a bad back and this shoe really is comfortable with great support. Walking can cause me pain, but these shoes do not. I'd buy again.

I have been testing different dress shoes from Amazon trying to find a pair that worked great when I travel, particularly to trade shows where you spend 10+ hours on you feet, and even though I have not taken this particular pair to trade shows yet, I have traveled with and walked a lot on them since I got them and they are very confortable. Feels to me that they have kind of like a break-in period to mold to your feet (or viceversa) , but once that was done, they are definitely comfy and ridiculously light. I would not call these dress shoes, but for a semi-formal setting (such as an office and/or trade show) they look great and go well with jeans or dress pants. They're a great choice for people that walk a lot at work or stand on their feet for long periods of time. I'll update this after my next trade show to see how it goes.

I received my 5th pair of Johnston & Murphy Men’s Activate U-Throat Shoes. These are absolutely some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever purchased or worn, but wait.. with this new pair, they are even better with elastic laces that don't need to be tied so you have the look of a lace up shoe with the ease of a slip on. Bravo Johnston & Murphy. You've done it again! They aren't "old people shoes" either. Dress them up or down and walk on pillows. How could it get any better than this?
