Unlike most other deodorants which feel too natural like immediate extracts or too artificial like those “fresh”, “ocean” scent, JML does a great job of capturing natural smell of fruits and berries without being too harsh or too pleasant. As a guy, I loved this smell and would recommend you to get one too. It’s definitely pricey for the quantity to which I can recommend checking out Issei Miyaki that has a similar close scent to the English Pear. When you spend almost $200 on a bottle of perfume it would be great if the scent lasted longer. I also have the orange blossoms. I love the scent just gone to quickly.

I love the scent but come on….this cologne is too expensive to not last longer. Scent is gone in no time. I have tried layering it with unscented almond oil, etc. This seems to be an issue that has garnered many complaints online. And it is not just English Pear and Freesia; I purchased Jo Malone Bluebell, and it doesn’t last, either. I am talking about a matter of 10 minutes. Ridiculous. ... show more

I bought a 3.4 oz bottle of Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia as a blind buy on Amazon for about $95.00 in early February 2024. In comparison, I own two other Jo Malone fragrances. I have Jo Malone Orange Blossom which I bought in person from a well known cosmetics store and my husband gifted me Jo Malone Red Roses which he purchased from their store at Heathrow airport. This bottle of English Pear & Freesia appears to be an authentic Jo Malone product. It arrived bubble wrapped in a Jo Malone box (no ribbon) and had a batch code (CC2 2035) I looked up on the day I received the product. The cologne is approximately 1 year and 17 days old as of today. I quite like this fragrance despite never having smelled it before. My skin chemistry prominently brings out the freesia, amber and patchouli notes in the fragrance. I also made my husband spritz some on his wrist to try for comparison and I can smell the pear very strongly on him.
