It’s a nice chain. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I’ve come to realize that I don’t care for white gold but that’s just my personal preference. It’s hard to tell from the photos but the chain on the left is stainless steel which looks more silver and the other is the white gold which looks more of a white extra shiny color that I think attracts more attention than I’m looking for. The chain is smooth and very comfortable to wear. The 24 inch length is just barely long enough to slip over my head without having to unclasp it. 4mm is about as small a thickness as I would want to go and still look like a masculine chain.

The "Cuban" design is a link with a lot of shimmer and the lobster claw clasp is a good choice for clasps because it is so secure and adds a great finishing touch. This chain can pass for the real deal. It doesn't look like costume jewelry, so you can use it for regular wear to accentuate an outfit. It's not heavy either, which makes it great for all-day wear. I would recommend it because I also didn't notice any discoloration. This is solid.

This is a great chain for a "medium" sized kid. My 9-year-old asked for a gold chain, so I got him the 18 inch. Apparently they're "in" right now in the elementary school scene. It fits perfectly. The necklace seems to be well-made, and feels sturdy. It doesn't feel cheap or like costume jewelry. It hasn't caused any adverse reactions with his sensitive skin. Very happy with this product.
