Started the rust and the black color was painted on. The cheep ones I got from temu are better than this it was actual black stainless steel and bit painted on. I don't recommend this product at all.

My 15 y/o son asked for some men's jewelry to wear to school, so I picked up the polished stainless version of this necklace as one of the pieces for him. It's surprisingly strong and well made, especially for this price point. He has been very happy with it and even though he's rough on pretty much everything he touches, it's held up beautifully.
