My son was given this Jellycat doll when he was born. Needless to say, this became his best friend. As a baby he would suck on the ears or arms of the stuffed animal. Lol I don't know why he chose that to sooth himself, but he did. He never used a binki or even sucked on any other cloth object but this one. Eventually grew out of it. But, this friend of his went EVERY WHERE. Bed, stores, doctors, sleep overs at grandmas, parties, events for scouting and visits to friends or family's homes. He was a very well loved puppy and it showed. One time we were on our way in the house and his puppy's arm fell off. Oh was he devastated. So, I became Doctor mom for stuffed animals and fixed him. He stood by myside as I "stitched" him back together. He would say, "mommy, go easy on puppy we don't want to hurt him." Then said to his puppy, " it's ok Puppy, I'm right here. My mommy is gonna make you all better." The tears just came down my faces just hearing that. I never seen any of my children love something so much as my son loves this stuffed animal. Hes just about 4 and he lost him. I haven't seen this stuffed animal in any stores, so I decided to look on line. Thankfully I found him on amazon. We told our son that his puppy went away to get fluffed and clean and that he'll be back real soon looking all brand new. He got super excited. I'm almost tempted to purchase a second one on the off chance he looses this guy to. Needless to say, he hasn't left his side and is very well loved as much as his original one was. I'm very pleased to have found this and save the love of my sons favorite stuffed friend.

This puppy is my sons absolute favorite toy! He takes it everywhere with him! He won’t fall asleep without it. It’s soft enough to be a pillow and he just loves snuggling with him. I tried buying a second one as a backup when he tried to “give puppy a bath” or accidentally forgot it at grandmas. But he knew! He knew the other one was not THE puppy. Because his puppy has seen some things lol. However, after a year and a half it has held up very well and still soft with no repairs ever needed.

My son now expects the Easter Bunny to bring plush like this every year since he has two now. He also has the large bunny. Both are very soft and seem to be high quality (more so than off the shelf plush from large chain stores for example). He has slept with the large bunny for over a year now and it has held up great.

The whole line of bashful Jellycat stuffed animals are awesome. They are the softest stuffed animals ever!!!!! We originally bought one for my daughter when she was one and it became her "love". It goes everywhere with her. Even now that she is four it travels with her in her backpack. She also has other "bashful" friends (nothing like her first "love" of course) which she calls the family. Now that we have a new baby she just got her her first Jellycat for Christmas from her uncle who ordered her one from Amazon as well because he was so impressed with the quality and how soft they are. One thing to pay attention to is the size. Some of the more popular style come in three sizes -small, medium, large and a couple even have giant. I ordered the small 7" sized ones for sticking stuffers and for my infant to be able to hold. My daughter like to play with the littles ones and they are more portable. They are pretty small but great for infants as they are about the size of your hand. If your looking for a lifetime-love I'd go for the medium 12" because as they grow it is way more huggable. And then you have the larger size which is almost too big when they are little.
